October 2–12, 2019
The intent of the 2019 “Genealogy Journey” to our homeland is to make a connection with your Slovenian heritage.
You will first learn about the unique culture, history, and geography of the coastal region of Slovenia with its
breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea. Next, we will travel to Ljubljana where you will research your family’s history,
staying at Grand Union Hotel just one block from the main square. Our Tour Director will be available to discuss
the cost of local transportation, car rental, or private driver/translator services. Volunteer staff from SGSI’s Macek
Research Center will contact you prior to departure to Europe and will assist you in preparing for your research.
