GREEN WEEK From October 16th until October 23rd, RTL TVI & Bel RTL will have a thematic “green” week. It will be a special week dedicated to the preservation and rescue of the planet. In association with its audience, which will have responded to a big survey, RTL TVI & Bel RTL will reflect on and talk about solutions without presenting them as constraints. On the menu: documentaries, movies, magazines, short fictions, channel idents, digital formats, ...

MOVIES WITH A « GREEN » THEME « Demain » Mélanie Laurent and Cyril Dion’s fresh-faced, paradoxically upbeat documentary about the complex, interrelated, and potentially apocalyptic issues facing our globalized world opened in France. The educational, continent-hopping investigation was a surprise hit, racking up more than a million admissions, winning the 2016 César for Best Prime PLUG RTL (date TBC) Documentary, and becoming a focal point for a gathering movement of citizens committed to putting its practical, inspiring, think-global-act-local solutions « Erin Brockovich » into practice.. "Erin Brockovich – seule contre tous", cult movie of Steven Soderbergh. An unemployed single mother becomes a legal assistant and almost single-handedly brings down a California power company accused of polluting a city's water supply. Prime RTL TVI or PLUG RTL (TBC)
CHANNEL IDENT / JINGLE On the occasion of the Green Week, RTL TVI’s channel jingles will be adapted to the theme. SHORT PROGRAM « ET APRES … » SUMMARY We follow the life of an comedian whose world was paused because of the health crisis and whose recovery is still slow. Through everyday situations, he is confronted with the sometimes very little comprehensive opinions of those around him who often had less of a struggle than him during the covid period. The uniqueness of this series comes from the fact that it shares the thoughts of its protagonist, which are sometimes at odds with what the other characters are saying. The main character is in "the world after covid" and he always asks himself the question: "What next?" In each episode he will have to express an opinion on a point of view of the film Legacy. The series will transform an aspect of the film into the "everyday life". Each episode can be watched separately, but together they will form a series of 5 or 7 episodes. The tone is meant to be deadpan/deliberately impassive in order to get the viewer to think about the theme of the day with a sense of humor. Does he agree or disagree with the protagonist or rather with the antagonist. Will this reflection lead the viewer to change his behavior? In order to illustrate the approach / tone of voice of the series, we can refer to short programs like Bref or Cher Journal. 5 episodes : from Monday the 18th of October until Friday the 22nd of October (+/- 19h30 )
Bel RTL On the occasion of the Green week, Bel RTL will have a thematic “green” programming: Channel ident One liners with wordings, quotes or “shock” sentences linked to the Green Week : - Teasing the days before the green week - During the 7 days of the green week The dedicated channel idents will be followed by the partner's 5 '' tagon
Bel RTL Dedicated programming: • Week : o 1 special broadcasting of « A votre service » (10h – 12h) o 2 special broadcastings of « Café Gourmand » with presence of Leon on the field, with interviews with people that have a special story (forester, …) (14h – 15h30) • Saturday : o Special edition of « Les musiques de ma vie » with Yann Arthus Bertrand o Special edition of « Les bons Vivants » (10h – 12h)
Bel RTL Integrations in programming Every evening of the week, 3 songs with a title, a theme or an approach linked to the green week will be broadcasted in “Tout pour la musique”. Each title will be announced via a oneliner signed with the partner’s 5” tagon. The host of the evening will introduce this title to remind the green context (ex: "The lionesses" by Yannick Noah, "Belle île en mer, Marie Galante" by Laurent Voulzy, "Imagine“ by John Lennon, etc.)
EXTRA OPPORTUNITIES Bel RTL (tailor made / on demand) A special of "Le saviez-vous?” will be produced. These will be short sequences sharing interesting, educational, surprising information evoking the richness of nature, the world of animals, earthly richness,… Each sequence will be less than 30 seconds including channel ident. These sequences can be signed with the partner’s tagon In the morning show "Mon 5 à 7", the prize to win during the green week will be a refurbished phone (or other object). It’s a way to highlight this little-known opportunity. This prize can be associated with a partner of the Green Week.
Radio CONTACT • All the dotations of this week will be « green » certified • Contest – mechanism to be defined (the gifts can be offered by the sponsor) • For every listener on air = 1 tree planted
