gallagherk2@sacredheart.eduDear Alumni and Friends,
I invite you to tour the world with Sacred Heart University. The Office of
Alumni Relations is excited to announce our Alumni Travel Program, a new benefit for
our Alumni Association members and the greater SHU community.
As Sacred Heart University continues to grow and transform into a center for
global education, our Alumni Travel Program offers an opportunity for continued
learning and interaction with fellow alumni. This benefit is unlike any other and we
hope you will consider taking advantage of it.
Travel with us to Ireland. A country that has been an integral part of SHU’s
history for over 20 years. Dingle, Dublin, and Killarney are included in our extensive
itinerary, as well as landmarks such as the Cliffs of Moher, the Blarney Stone, and
Dromoland Castle. Full trip details are included within this brochure.
Please share this information with friends who may be interested in traveling
with you. Even if they are not members of the SHU community, we are happy to
extend this offer to them. Ireland will be an unforgettable experience and one that we
are excited to share with fellow Pioneers. If you have any questions, please contact
Katie Gallagher, assistant director of Alumni Relations, at
gallagherk2@sacredheart.edu or 203-365-4801.
We look forward to seeing you in Ireland!
Sincerely,
Todd R. Gibbs

You can also find this information on your tour documents.Experience It! Dromoland Castle
Dating back to the 16th century, Dromoland Castle is perhaps the most famous
baronial castle in Ireland. It is the ancestral home of the Barons of Inchiquin, a
Gaelic family that are direct descendants of the High King of Ireland. Built of
dark blue limestone, this regal setting will take you back in time. Today, as a
luxury hotel, Dromoland offers exceptional amenities. From the moment you
catch your first glimpse of the castle on the curved drive, you will enter into
another realm. The classic interiors appear much like they did when lords called
this place home and the well-appointed guest rooms are sure to make you feel
like royalty during your stay.
