Greetings and Happy New Year LCR
                          Community and friends,

It was so wonderful seeing so many of you and
your families at the Christmas Eve and
Christmas Day Services. The sanctuary was full of a festive aura
and happiness as we welcomed the birth of our Savior,
One service at completing the anticipation of the Advent journey.

are looking forward to talking with all of you about your
relationship with and future desires for LCR and the call of a

second request of $4,250 was approved in response to an appeal
from the Southeastern Synod, which has encountered a 12-15
percent shortfall in cash flow, affecting their ability to fulfill their
                        mission support.
Financially, LCR has continued to be on budget. With the opening
of the campus this year, we have experienced an increase in
expenses over that of the past couple of years during Covid, but
we have been able to meet these changes. Thank you for your
continued dedication to the ministries of the Lutheran Church of
the Resurrection and your faithful financial support.
Wishing you all a very Happy and Blessed New Year.

Pastor Ruth invites you to participate in a series of conversations Worship Assistants
about Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, using the book By Heart: Sign-up Link
Conversations with Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. This study
is for people who would like to be introduced to the catechism as
well as for those who know it already. The hope is that these
conversations, through the power of the Holy Spirit, deepen our
understanding and faith.
The beautifully illustrated book is very down-to-earth, just like
Luther. It draws upon the history of Luther’s age as well as
Luther’s biography to help us understand the context in which Altar Flower Sign-Up
Luther wrote. It also helps us talk about questions that we ask
today, like “Is my unbaptized grandchild saved?” or “What do
Lutherans believe?” or “Why do we say the Creed?”
Please purchase the book prior to the study, available from
Amazon or Augsburg Fortress.
