Of course, the three major events of 2021 were the completion of the Old Courthouse renovation, the continued COVID 19 impact on our community, and the purchase of the old Tecumseh Products site for a regional recreational facility. Lenawee County began the year in sound financial shape, adding nearly 1.5 million to general fund balance as 2021 started. Departments continued to exercise good financial control and, as we start 2022, we expect to add to fund balance again. Over the course of 2021, COVID has continued to affect our community. In County government, we have worked to maintain service levels, keep the community informed, and protect County County Administrator employees, customers, and individuals for whom we are directly Martin D.
