Welcome to the 2021 American
Family Insurance Championship!
Dear Volunteers,
Welcome Back! We are so excited to be able to
bring the 2021 American Family Insurance
Championship back. We thank you for your
support through these unusual times.
We appreciate your time and dedication to ensure a successful
PGA TOUR Champions event. While it may be different than it has in
the past, we look forward to having you share in the celebrating the
tournament’s 5th anniversary.

Your efforts and hard work help make Madison one of the premier
stops on the PGA TOUR Champions tournament schedule; along with
contributing to fundraising efforts for the Steve Stricker American
Family Insurance Foundation and the American Family Children’s
Hospital.

This handbook is designed to serve as a guide and includes important
information related to your responsibilities for the week. Please review
before each shift and use it as a reference while you are on the course.
You will likely be asked questions and this handbook should help you
respond to these inquiries with confidence.

We look forward to working with you throughout the week and
celebrating a successful event after we crown our fifth tournament
champion.

It is great to see all of you again. Thank you for your commitment
and have a great time at the 2021 American Family Insurance
Championship!

SEVERE WEATHER PLAN
In the event of thunderstorms, lightning or other severe weather, “Weather Warning” information will be
displayed on the electronic scoreboards around the golf course. When these warnings appear, spectators are
advised to take precautions and seek shelter. If the siren sounds suspending play, seek shelter immediately.
The electronic scoreboards will keep spectators advised as to the length of the delay in play; however, in the
event of severe weather and lightning, the safest location is your car.

FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED. Firearms, large cameras, video cameras, radios, signs, banners,
flags, coolers, beverages, step stools, backpacks, and large packages.

CELL PHONES ARE ALLOWED BUT MUST BE SET TO SILENT MODE. Free WiFi – available at the main
entrance, clubhouse, pavilion, 15th hole, 17th Hole and 18th Hole.

ALL SMALL PERSONAL CARRY ITEMS WILL BE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION AT THE GATE.
UNAUTHORIZED ITEMS WILL BE CONFISCATED.

AUTOGRAPH POLICY: Our PGA TOUR players can’t wait to see guests back on-site, but please understand,
for the health and safety of everyone on property, no handshakes, fist bumps, autographs, photographs or
selfies are permitted at this time.
WEATHER WARNING & SUSPENSION OF PLAY

If inclement weather is approaching, a “Weather Warning” notification
will be posted on all electronic scoreboards on the course. When
this message appears, spectators are advised to take immediate
precaution by evacuating bleachers and hospitality tents. In the
event of a “Severe Weather” warning and a suspension of play, please
proceed to the parking lot and return to your car. A suspension of play
is preceded by an air horn signal. Suspension of play is a stoppage of
play, not necessarily a cancellation of play for the day. Notification of
continuation of play will be given in each parking lot.

In the event of a weather warning, please avoid:
• Hilltops • Golf Carts
• High Places • Wire Fences
• Isolated Trees • Open Areas
If play is suspended please close your umbrella and seek shelter
immediately.

                           PLEASE NOTE
 • Play will continue as long as deemed safe
 • Corporate hospitality will remain open every day, rain or shine
 • Staff and Volunteers will inform spectators on any changes
   made to this policy
 • Spectators are encouraged to visit the tournament website for
   weather notifications
