KAL TIRE® GEAR UP FOR GREY CUP CONTEST 2018
OFFICIAL RULES
1. The contest held by Kal Tire® (the “Contest Organizer”) will begin on September 17th, 2018
and end at 11:59 PM (PST) on October 27th, 2018 (the “Contest Period”).
2. The contest is open to Canadian residents (except Quebec residents) who have reached the
age of majority in their province or territory of residence. Employees, representatives,
mandataries of the Contest Organizer, of any company, corporation, trust or other legal
entity controlled or affiliated with it or with Kal Tire stores, or MICHELIN® tire retailers and
brokers of their respective advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers of prizes, material
and services related to this Contest, as well as members of their immediate family (brothers,
sisters, children, father, mother), their legal or common-law spouse, and any person with
whom such employees, representatives and mandataries are domiciled are not eligible. To
enter the contest, cookies must be accepted. The contest is subject to all applicable laws
and federal, provincial and municipal regulations.
3. HOW TO ENTER: To enter the contest, purchase a set of four (4) new MICHELIN®
passenger or light truck tires at any of the participating Kal Tire stores in Canada (excluding
Quebec) during the Contest Period. You will automatically be entered in the grand prize draw
and will also be eligible to claim an instant prize online. Kal Tire will provide a unique promo
code valid for two free CFL regular season tickets via SMS message to qualifying
purchasers during the Contest Period. SMS messages with promo codes will be provided
within 10 business days of purchase. If for any reason qualified purchasers fail to receive an
SMS message with their promo code, instructions for an alternative prize claiming method
will be available on the contest website accessible through KalTire.com.
4. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the contest without making a purchase, legibly
write an original handwritten letter of at least fifty (50) words explaining why you would like to
win the grand prize, along with your last name, name, complete address, including postal
code, telephone number including area code, email address and age. Sign and send your
letter in an envelope with sufficient postage to Kal Tire Vernon Office – Marketing
Department – 1540 Kalamalka Lake Road Vernon BC V1T 6N6, so that it is received at this
address no later than October 27th, 2018 at 5 p.m. Upon receipt, your letter will be validated
by the Contest Organizer’s representative, who will enter you for the grand prize draw and
will send you a promo code to participate in the online portion of the Contest.
5. By entering, all entries become the property of the Contest Organizer and only those
selected to win will be contacted. There is a limit of one entry for the grand prize draw and
one promotion code for a free pair of regular season CFL tickets per purchase invoice or no
purchase letter. A person cannot enter through both methods.

Grand Prize
6. The Grand Prize is a 2018 Grey Cup* VIP experience for two, which includes two (2)
economy return flights to Edmonton from an international Canadian airport, three (3) nights
double occupancy accommodation (1 room for 2 people) in a four-star hotel, on November
23rd, 24th and 25th 2018, two (2) official Grey Cup* merchandise packages, content at the
sole discretion of the Contest Organizer, two (2) VIP suite tickets to the Grey Cup* game in
Edmonton, pregame VIP on-field experience, and ground transportation for two (2) from
hotel to stadium and stadium to hotel. Total approximate prize value of $6,700.00 retail price.
The following terms and conditions apply to the trip:
6.1. All other expenses and fees not mentioned herein are at the winner’s and/or his/her
guest’s sole expense, including without limitation, transport between the winner’s
residence and the departure airport, activities, meals, beverages (alcoholic or non-
alcoholic), tips and taxes, personal insurance, Internet access fees, minibar fees, room
service, local and international phone calls, hotel security deposit, if required, expenses
of a personal nature and travel documents, if applicable.
6.2. The game tickets are selected and provided at the Contest Organizer’s sole discretion.
6.3. Travel arrangements must be made by the winner at least ten (10) days in advance with
the travel agency in charge as assigned by the Contest Organizer. The winner must
provide the travel agency with the name on his/her identification document used to
travel, as well as the name and contact details of his/her guest. No modifications will be
allowed once the travel arrangements are made.
6.4. The winner’s guest must sign the declaration and release form (the “Declaration Form”)
provided in accordance with these Contest Rules and confirm therein that he/she
complies with all eligibility terms and conditions under these Contest Rules to win and
take part in the trip.
6.5. In the event that the distance between the winner’s and his/her guest’s place of
residence and Edmonton does not justify flight transportation in the sole opinion of the
Contest Organizer, they reserve the right to select an alternate transportation mode, at
their sole discretion, to and from Edmonton.
6.6. The approximate value of the trip is based notably on the average value of flights,
transportation, and accommodation for two (2) adults, which may vary according to the
date and departure location. No compensation shall be given or may be claimed if the
actual prize value is lower.

7. Selection of the grand prize winner will take place at 1540 Kalamalka Lake Road Vernon BC
V1T 6N6 on October 29th, 2018 by means of a random draw from all eligible entries received
during the Contest Period.
8. The chances of winning depend on the total number of valid entries received during the
Contest Period.
Online Instant Win Prizes
9. In addition to being entered for the grand prize draw, contest participants will receive a
unique online code eligible to be redeemed for two CFL regular season tickets at no cost to
the contest participant. Tickets are valid for CFL regular season games in either the 2018 or
2019 seasons. Tickets are subject to availability and seating is at the sole discretion of the
Contest Organizer. Tickets have no cash value and are non-transferable. Post-season
games are not eligible.
10. Ticket prizes are awarded as one (1) prize per eligible purchase valid for two CFL regular
season tickets. Unique codes provided to redeem tickets are one-time use and will be
deactivated upon redemption. Online redemption and claiming of the tickets are the sole
responsibility of the contest participant. Instructions for redeeming tickets will be provided by
the Contest Organizer.
Prize Claim
11. To be declared a winner of the prize and to be able to claim this prize, each selected
individual must:
11.1. Be reached by email or phone by the Contest Organizer within two (2) days of the
random selection.
11.2. Correctly answer, without any assistance and in a limited amount of time, a
mathematical skill-testing question to be administered either on the ballot/entry form,
by phone or email.
11.3. Fill out and sign an authorization and release form and return it to the Contest
Organizer via email within two (2) days of its receipt.
Statement of consent, authorization and release
in connection with photos and video
I grant Kal Tire® and its representatives the authorization to reproduce, broadcast,
publish, distribute, represent in public, edit and modify of any photos or videos
captured as part of the grand prize trip. These are worldwide authorizations, without
any compensation and for an unlimited period of time, for the purposes of this Contest
{01804983;1}namely for use in-store, on web banners, on existing Internet platforms (Facebook,
Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and on advertising material promoting the present Contest or
its future editions, as the case may be. I authorize my first name, last name and
location of residence to be used in connection with the photo submitted.
12. If the winner cannot be reached within three (3) days of the random selection, refuses the
prize, incorrectly answers the mathematical skill-testing question or fails to return the form
mentioned above according to the instructions given herein, another entrant will be selected
in his/her place from the entries received and the entrant initially drawn will lose all rights in
and to the prize.
13. By entering the contest, any participant releases and holds harmless the Contest Organizer,
any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated to it, its
advertising and promotion agencies, its employees, representatives and mandataries (the
“Released Parties”) from and against any damage resulting from the acceptance or use of
the prize.
14. The Released Parties disclaim all liability for any of the following that may limit or prevent
any entrant from entering the Contest: malfunctioning of the website, any computer
component, software or communications lines; loss or lack of a communications network; or
any transmission that is faulty or incomplete, incomprehensible or erased by any computer
or network. The Released Parties also disclaim all liability for any damages or loss that may
be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any web page,
software or other or by the transmission of any information related to participation in the
Contest. Contest Organizer may not be held liable for errors or omissions in printed
marketing material for this Contest.
15. The Contest Organizer reserves the right to disqualify a person or to cancel one or several
entries of a person who participates or tries to participate in this Contest by using methods
that do not comply with these Contest Rules or that are unfair to other entrants (e.g. entries
exceeding the authorized limit). Such a person may be reported to the appropriate legal
authorities.
16. Any attempt to sabotage the legitimate conduct of this Contest constitutes a violation of civil
and criminal laws. Should there be any such attempts, the Contest Organizer reserves the
right to reject the entrant’s entries and obtain legal or equitable relief under applicable laws.
17. Prizes must be accepted as described in these Contest Rules and may not, in any case, be
in whole or in part transferred to another person, replaced by another prize or exchanged for
cash, except as provided in the section below.
18. In the event where it would be impossible, difficult and/or more costly for the Contest
Organizer to award the prize (or a portion thereof) as described in these Contest Rules, they
reserve the right to award a prize (or portion thereof) of the same kind and of equivalent
value or, at their sole discretion, the cash value of the prize (or portion thereof) as indicated
in the Contest Rules.
19. The Contest Organizer does not warrant that access to or use of the Contest Website or any
related website will be uninterrupted during the contest period or error-free.
20. The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify
or suspend this Contest in whole or in part, should human intervention or an event take place
{01804983;1}that could alter or affect the administration, security, impartiality or conduct of the Contest as
provided in these Contest Rules.
21. Persons who enter or try to enter this Contest release the Released Parties from any liability
for damage these said persons may incur as a result of their entry or their attempt to enter
the Contest.
22. The Contest Organizer will gather personal information on the participants for the sole
purpose of administrating the Contest. Participants will not receive any information or
marketing communications unless they have expressly indicated so to the Contest Organizer
on their entry form. Participants may consult the Kal Tire® privacy policy at
kaltire.com/privacy-policy/ to learn more about company policy regarding the protection of
privacy and the security of the participants' personal information. They may also elect to
receive information regarding Michelin North America Inc. and its products and services in
which case participants may consult the Michelin privacy policy at michelin.ca/CA/en/privacy-
policy.html to learn more about company policy regarding the protection of privacy and the
security of the participants' personal information.
23. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to having his/her name, place of residence, voice,
statements, photo or image, and video capture used for advertising purposes, promotions or
information in any media or format, without retribution or notice and without limit of time.
24. Any decision by the Contest Organizer or its representatives regarding this Contest is final
and without appeal.
25. If a section of the Contest Rules is declared or deemed illegal, unenforceable or invalid by a
competent court, that section shall be considered invalid, but all unaffected sections will be
applied within the limits of the law.
