Dear Lakeland School Community,

First, I would like to thank all of you for your patience, as well as suggestions, as we prepared for our
Class of 2021 Graduation Ceremony. We hope you understand that our primary goal is to keep students,
families and staff safe, but at the same time ensuring we provide a memorable send-off to the seniors
which they so deserve. Therefore, we have decided to hold two equally special events. It is, of course,
our expectation and hope that you will attend both.

Commencement Celebration - Warwick Drive-In, Warwick, NY (Rain or Shine)
    Date: Wednesday, June 16
Time: Parking begins at 8:15pm (no early admission)
Virtual Ceremony promptly starts at 9:00pm

This event will allow our entire graduating class to celebrate together wherein they will
be able to view our entire conventional ceremony complete with speeches, tributes,
musical performances, reading of the names, etc. which have been pre-recorded and will
be played on the big screen.

Awarding of Diplomas - Lakeland Regional High School (Athletic Field)
     Date: Thursday, June 17
     Rain Date: Friday, June 18
Time: Students should arrive at 6:00 pm. The ceremony promptly begins at 6:30pm

This abbreviated event will allow our students and parents to enjoy a modified in-person
graduation which complies with the provisions of multiple Executive Orders. Although
it will not be the complete graduation ceremony, students will be able to be seated on our
Athletic Field and walk across our stage to receive their diplomas.

Graduates will receive caps/gowns, cords, stoles, parking pass, & tickets for both events on Thursday
June 10 (RED Cohort) and Friday, June 11 (GRAY Cohort) once all fines/obligations have been
satisfied.
For the Commencement Celebration held at the Warwick Drive-In on June 16: Students will receive only
one (1) parking pass per graduate for the event.

For the Awarding of the Diplomas at LRHS on June 17: Students will receive (2) tickets for guests to
attend the event.

If you have an extenuating circumstance for either event, please reach out to Ms. Lynn Lutz at
llutz@lakeland.k12.nj.us. Additional passes may be issued.

Please note that the Warwick Drive-In presentation includes keynote addresses, musical performances,
tributes, and student senior yearbook portraits. For any special guests who cannot attend, the event will
be live streamed and subsequently available on our website and YouTube for viewers at home beginning
on June 16.

We encourage students to appropriately decorate their cars and wear their caps and gowns. As this is a
celebratory school event, we encourage school-appropriate car signs. Masks will be provided to all
Lakeland student graduates right before the ceremony, but students and guests should bring their own.

After such a challenging school year, it is my hope that everyone in our district community will join
together to help celebrate these special events with our students. We look forward to making both
positive and memorable experiences. Join us in highlighting the individual and collective achievements of
the Class of 2021.

Sincerely,

Hugh E. Beattie
Chief School Administrator

Immediately after the ceremony, the National Honor Society members must return their stoles and

   3. As courtesy and adult behavior would dictate, your individual attention is expected toward all
program speakers. Your family members and friends are there to show their pride in you on
your special days. Please do not disappoint them and embarrass yourself by acting in a manner
that will result in your removal from the Graduation Ceremonies.
K. GUEST CONDUCT
Disruptions of any kind will not be permitted during the ceremonies and Lakeland Regional High
School retains the right to remove anyone not abiding by the code of conduct from our campus
       and/or the Warwick Drive-In.

and enter your information. In addition, proof sheets and ordering information will be mailed
