Alberto Rossell-Davis began his 20 years with Aveda
at the Aveda Experience Centers, working his way
up to a management position. During his 10 years as
Education Lead and Senior Colorist at Van Michael Mi-
ami, he worked with designer labels including Gucci®,
Escada® and Baby Phat, as well as a celebrity clien-
tele. He worked with Ian Michael Black twice as part of the Aveda Hair Color Team for
Aveda Congress and once for Behind The Chair Color Shows. He has served as lead
colorist for Van Michael Salons for Aveda Master Jam. He co-created Aveda’s global
Beyond Balayage curriculum and contributed to Full Spectrum Deep™ Systems +
Fusion. Today, he helps others evolve as Executive Director of Hair Color Sales and

ALICIA MAULDIN
CONWAY, AR
Alicia Mauldin is a Master Stylist at Euphoria, an
Aveda Concept Salon and Day Spa in Conway, Arkan-
sas. She is a Russellville, Arkansas native that gradu-
ated from Fayetteville Beauty College. She has been
a licensed cosmetologist for 17 years now, with her
Aveda journey starting 16 years ago. She has been
a Certified Aveda Hair Color Educator for Neill Corporation since 2016. Alicia is cur-
rently the Director of Education, Goals Coach, and Recruitment Manager at Euphoria.
Her passion still remains in education and behind her chair as a full-service cosme-
tologist where she takes advantage of the full extent of her license. Her advanced
education and experience continues to develop and drive her career. In addition to
her training and consulting, Alicia enjoys helping with local and global community

I’m a Native Texan. Grew up in Plano and live in Allen
now. Couldn’t live in any other state because I love
Texas too much. Although, I have been all over the
world though. Started out doing hair in 2005 at the
Paul Mitchell School in Carrollton, TX. Shortly after
that I decided to join the U.S. Marine Corps. While in
the Marines I went to Japan, Korea, North Carolina, California, and I did one tour to
Afghanistan. After getting out of the Marines I went straight back to my true passion,
being a hairstylist! It was in 2011 I feel in love with Aveda and I love sharing all the
wonderful things you can accomplish with this product line. I have two beautiful little
girls, Kye and Hazel, and they keep me super busy. I love being outdoors but more
than anything I love being near water. Another hobby I love to do is cook and try new
/ different types of food. I’m also extremely dyslexic and grew up having a hard time
with school. That is one of the main reasons why I wanted to become and Educator. I
love helping people understand and finding new ways to learn.

AMIE BISSINGER

Amie Bissinger started her career behind the chair
in 2006. After writing and implementing her current
salon’s education program, she became certified as
a color educator in 2014. Amie is passionate about
pouring her knowledge into new talent and helping
them gain the confidence to create beautiful color
results. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, running and
living out her faith in the community.

ANNA RAY
COVINGTON, LA
Anna joined the Aveda family in 2004 when she
graduated from the Institute in Covington. Over the
next few years, she pursued a degree in Professional
Photography while working in the salon. Now back to
her roots in Louisiana, Anna has been an educator for
the Aveda Institutes since 2009 and a hair color edu-
cator for Neill since 2011. As an educator, Anna has had the honor of supporting Jon
Reyman on stage at Aveda Congress and the privilege of wrangling hair with Frank
Rizzieri for a resort collection in New York for Stella McCartney. Anna wants to live
in a world where collaboration is king and everyone looks and feels fabulous. When
she is not working to make people look and feel great, you can find her sharing her
experiences and spreading the “Aveda love.”

One of three siblings, Anthony Skoog is a Minnesota
native who has been doing hair for more than 27
years. As a Master Artistic Educator and platform art-
ist, he trains stylists all over the United States, Mexico
and India. He has styled The Pointer Sisters, U.S.
Treasurer Rosario Melendez and the Houston Dynamo
cheerleaders, among others. He has been featured on two reality TV shows, “Ambush
Makeover” and “Extreme Makeover,” and has worked on a hair prosthetic for Locks of

Brittany Koiner began her career with Aveda in
2011 at Spa Concepts Salon and Spa in Shreveport
Louisiana. Brittany developed a passion for educat-
ing after becoming an in salon trainer at Spa Concept
Bossier City's location. She loves to invest in other
stylists personal growth and loves continuing her own
education. Brittany is a native of the great state of Louisiana, and currently resides in
Haughton La with her husband and 6 year old daughter. Outside of the salon, Brittany
enjoys singing and spending time with her friends and family. In June 2020, Brittany

I’m a Nashville native, who began my career with
Aveda a little over 6 years ago. I started as an assis-
tant at Unruli Aveda and have now worked myself into
a lead stylist and training manager. I’ve been a Certi-
fied Aveda Educator and an in-house Educator for my
salon for over a year now and I love every second of
it. My passion for teaching came young as I always wanted to have “class” with all
my friends. I knew that education would be a part of my career, but I wasn’t sure how.

Cassandra is an Aveda Cut/Style Purefessional and
Certified Aveda Color Educator who has been pas-
sionate about Aveda and it's mission since starting

is a Master Stylist at K Charles & co in San Antonio,
Tx. Cassandra has worked alongside members of the
Aveda Global Artistic Team such as Antoinette Beenders and Allen Ruiz participating

Dawn’s cosmetology career began through vocational
classes offered in high school. She had planned to
use her cosmetology license to pay for her college de-
gree but little did she know, the classes would spark
a deep passion and love for the beauty industry that
would lead to a lifetime career. Dawn has been work-
ing as an artist behind the chair for a total of 25+ years. Since the start of her career,
she has worked with several different beauty brands. In 2010, Dawn discovered the
meaning behind Aveda’s mission and culture and became passionate about working
with a brand that aligned with her lifestyle and beliefs. Dawn’s passion for Aveda’s
initiative continued to increase over the years and eventually led her down the path
of education. In 2016, Dawn began the journey to becoming an Aveda Color Educator.
She dedicated 3 years to her career growth through education classes and relation-

Emily Cozzone began her career in the hair indus-
try 6 years ago in 2014 when God led her to T. Fox
SalonSpa in Hoover, AL. At T. Fox SalonSpa she fell in
love with all things Aveda and now, as a senior styl-
ist, has a passion for teaching and mentoring other
young stylists. With the encouragement of her team
and salon owner (T. Fox) she became a certified Aveda Color Educator in 2020. Emily
currently lives in Birmingham, AL with her husband and their fur babies. She looks

Grace Mills graduated from the Aveda Institute in

Isaac Martinez began his career 2015 attending the
Aveda institute in The Woodlands, Texas, and has
been with Aveda ever since. He is currently working
as a lead designer stylist with Josephine’s day spa
and salon in Houston, Texas. Within the salon he was
able to not only receive education but was given an
opportunity to be the educator. After acquiring this position, it was then when he truly
knew that the education path was most definitely for him. With his bold personality
and his drive for success he embarked on his journey to become a Certified Color
Educator in 2018. After receiving the title, he knew there was nothing that could stop
him from sharing the education he learned with the entire industry. Isaac resides in
Houston, Texas where he awaits the call to share his knowledge.

She has been a part of the Aveda family/network for
9 years. Louisiana native relocated to the beauti-
ful beaches of Orange Beach, Alabama. Trained and

to lead and educate on a personal and business
level. Her love for teaching and helping others led to

Kelsey McCarroll began her career with Aveda in
2006 when she attended the Aveda Institute in San
Antonio, Texas, and has been with Aveda ever since.
She lives out being a daymaker as a senior stylist
with Tangerine Salon in Dallas, Texas. It’s always been
a passion of hers to be able to teach and guide fellow
stylists with an arsenal of knowledge, having been an educator inside salon walls.
Her heart led her to finally became a certified color educator in 2018. Kelsey is also a
native south Texas resident, who has made her way up to Dallas, where she and her
husband reside with a son.

Lauren is a Houston, Texas based stylist and color-
ist of 13 years with 4 years as a color educator and
mentor. She studied the color wheel in middle school
in her first art class and fell in love with the theory of
color that very moment. She specializes in corrective
color, foil placement, hand painting and hand-tied ex-
tensions. Her passion lies with lived-in, effortless looks and creating the methods to

LESLIE WILLIAMS
BIRMINGHAM, AL
Leslie Williams is a lifelong learner inspired to edu-
cate a new generation of artists. True to her charac-
ter, drive and focus helped her excel while studying
Cosmetology at Aveda Institute in Birmingham. Wil-
liams knew while still in school that education and
color were her calling. She has been an educator
for Aveda Institute, at her alma mater, more than 6 years. She has been a contributor
and her work published in B-Metro Magazine, a monthly city and lifestyle magazine
based in Birmingham, AL. She has worked alongside artists like Lupe Voss, Alberto
Davis and Susan Ford. More importantly to her, she has instilled curiosity and an ur-
gency in students to learn more about the industry. She continues to devote her life to
educating stylists and bolstering their creative and business success. Williams lives
the Aveda mission by giving back to her community when she volunteers to provide
haircuts for a local men’s shelter every 10 weeks. Her love of the land, commitment
to the industry and profound humanity and creativity live strongest and clearest in

NICOLE NEDOM

Nicole is the Director of Education for the Ihloff Salon
New Talent Intern program. In 2009, Nicole became
an Aveda Certified Color Educator and enjoys sharing
Aveda Color with the network- especially to stylists
who are new to Aveda. Her favorite part about Aveda
color is that it is 100% customizable which allows her
to create unique formulas for each of her guests to give them interesting and beauti-
ful hair color. She is passionate about making sure that correct information is being
taught within the Aveda network. The most rewarding part of teaching for Nicole is
seeing that “lightbulb” moment where something truly clicks for the learner. She
loves the challenge of explaining the information in as many ways as is necessary to
make sure this happens!

Raquel Russey Stewart is the full-time Educational
Director and Master Stylist at Burt Grant Salon in
downtown Arlington. Her obsession with hair started
at an early age by spending time in her grand-
mother’s hair salon. Raquel started her professional
career nearly 20 years ago at Mark Pardo Salon in
Albuquerque, NM and was trained by Aveda Purefessional Cynthia Gonzales Martinez.
It was under Cynthia’s tutelage that Raquel discovered her passion for education,
leading her to eventually become a Certified Hair Color Educator.

Ryan Erwin started his career and passion for the
world of beauty at the Aveda Institute of Orlando in
2008. With a natural love for learning, he has sought
roles that allow him to inspire that same love onto
others as an educator. Ryan moved to New Orleans in
2015, joining the Paris Parker team where he quickly
felt at home and began his journey in education. He soon became a color mentor and
in-house educator through their intern program. Ryan has taken up many incredible
opportunities such as working with and assisting for Alberto Rossell and Tatum Neill
for many events, including Elevate Masters and Aveda Congress. Presently a certi-
fied color educator, Ryan is excited to continue to inspire and be inspired through the
power of teaching.

SARAH SIBLEY
MCKINNEY, TX
Sarah began her journey with Aveda in South Florida
as a color specialist. As a master colorist, she was
heavily involved in creative teams, creating training
materials, and educating other colorists in the salon
while becoming one of the top producing Aveda ser-
vice providers in the region. As a lover of social me-
dia, Sarah took to Instagram to connect and offer mentorship to other artists on the
platform and has been selected for photoshoots, industry awards, and has appeared
in industry magazines for her work. As she developed her skills in the industry she

Steffan began his career in hair in 2007 as a student
at the Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
He joined Garbo A Salon and Spa in 2011 as a Master
Stylist and Technical Director. He is also the Creative
Director at Garbo, an Austin based Aveda salon and a
ten-time recipient of Salon Today Top 200 Award. In
2012, Steffan joined the Aveda network as a Mentor Hair Color Educator for Neill. He

Gabriel (Gabo) Hernandez is originally from Venezuela and is based in
Toronto, where he got his professional training at the Aveda Institute
and Academy-graduating with Honors from both programs. He's a hard
and dedicated worker with a lot of respect for his craft. As soon as he
graduated, he was recruited for the Civello Salon Team and has been
with the Aveda family since 2011. Gabo has become a highly-rated
hairdresser by his clients. He has also had the pleasure to work closely with Kristjan Hayden (Aveda Creative
Director) and with fashion designers like Greta Constantine, Pnina Tornai, Joseph Altuzarra, and Comrags. He
was also published in Today's Parent (May 2014 for a makeover special) and in Binky Magazine (by styling
Jessica Mulroney's hair for the cover). Gabo has also been part of many different shows: The Marilyn Denis TV
show, Kleinfeld Canada Fashion Shows, Giller Prize 2014, TIFF, Toronto Fashion Week 2015, and the Canadian
Screen Awards 2015. In 2017 Gabo joined the Civello Creative Team and Aveda Team Canada, expanding and

TRACY FREEMAN
As an established hairstylist, colorist and educator, Tracy has been
in the industry since 1993. She joined the Aveda network in 2000
becoming an educator with Aveda Fredrics Corporation. Presently she
is at Square One Salon & Spa in Dayton, Ohio as a director stylist and
mentor. In 2003, she began her position as an Aveda Purefessional™
in Hair Color and Texture. In addition to hair color, Tracy has an
extensive background in texture hairstyling from relaxers, braiding,
hair locking, bonding and weaving. With this skill set, she has become
part of Aveda’s Texture Task Force, giving her opportunity to create
a new Texture curriculum. Tracy's passion has led her stay on top of current trends and education in order to
bring these ideas back into the salon. This allows her to keep guests and co-workers informed of what is going
on in the network. In October 2004, she had the opportunity to style hair and apply makeup for Peter Jennings
for the ABC Nightly News. As support for guest artists during Aveda Congress and Mid America shows, she

RONNIE APPEL
Ronnie Appel, currently the Artistic Lead with The Salon People, has
had a lifelong passion for the hair industry and its creative artists. In
this role, Ronnie leads the creative direction and advanced education
for the Florida Aveda Network. He is passionate about hair and is a
creative hair stylist, dedicated educator and continues to hold the
PurefessionalTM certification from Aveda. A big believer in hard work,
Ronnie has always believed in the saying that “you get what you give.”
From birth, Ronnie was destined to become a hairstylist. From the time he could walk and hold a broom, he
spent years sweeping hair for all the stylists in his mother’s salon, which ultimately became an Aveda salon.
When he became old enough, he enthusiastically enrolled in the Aveda Institute. Through his education, he
realized he had an extreme passion for cutting and styling hair. Ronnie began his career journey by joining
Pyure Salon owned by Luca Boccia and Elan Levy, where he specialized in cutting, then quickly excelled to the
position of Creative Director of a new Pyure Location in Boynton Beach, Florida.
He won the first National Educator Competition. To his delight, this led to him being invited to join the New
York Fashion Week Team. Thereafter, his career included becoming the Director of Education for Fresh Talent
and Creative Director for another Florida Aveda salon group. His family recruited him to assist with an import
business, which was an offer that he thought he couldn’t refuse. As General Manager, he quickly mastered
logistics, inventory, management and creativity in a very uncreative environment. He then launched his own
online company, however, he realized that success without passion simply wasn’t worth it. Ronnie’s passion
prevailed, and he is now the Artistic Lead for The Salon People, leading the company in their content
development and all things hair. His passion is stronger than ever, and he has set his sights on becoming an
intricate part of the North America Artistic Team.

Following in his family's footsteps, Austin attended Gary Manuel
Aveda Institute in Seattle, WA after he graduated high school.
He worked at his father’s salon, Jax Salon + Spa, for the next
five years. Uninspired by hair, Austin began a new degree in
aeronautical studies in hopes of becoming a flight tower controller
one day. After attending Aveda Congress in 2011, he was inspired
by the Artistic Team and realized his dream was to one day be on
stage to inspire and educate other hairdressers. Within a year, he moved to New York and began his career
over again as an assistant at Aveda West Broadway. On weekends, he volunteered his time supporting the
Advanced Academy classes and directly training under Ricardo Dinis, Ian Michael Black, Lupe Voss and
Allen Ruiz. While living in New York, he had the opportunity to assist on multiple photo shoots, including
Aveda collections with the Artistic Team. Austin also freelanced for companies such as Refinery 29,
creating how-to hair looks for current blog entries. He has also assisted and led his own teams during New
York Fashion Week for the last ten seasons, including several corporate shows with Antoinette Beenders and
Allen Ruiz.
Moving back home from New York, he has had the opportunity to work with his father before he retires, as
well as became the Education Director at Jax Salon + Spa where he has created his own successful

SUSAN FORD
A native of Dublin, Ireland, Susan Ford showed passion and a strong
work ethic from an early age and was offered an apprenticeship in one
of Dublin’s top salons. Her four years of intense in-salon training fueled
Susan’s desire to move to the next level, taking her to the fashion capital
of the world–London. During her 10 years as a top stylist on Chelsea’s
King’s Road, Susan lived the connection between hair and fashion, gaining
invaluable experience.
From collaborations with world-renowned photographers, make-up artists and stylists, Susan’s editorial work has been
seen in American Vogue and in trade magazines such as American Salon, Modern Salon, Process Magazine, and Estetica
USA and Korea. Her recent Men’s Collection was featured in the Italian HTrends Magazine while her Women's Collection
can be seen in the editorial pages of both Pump and Obscurae Magazine. Aveda recently selected Susan as a winner in
their Aveda Artist Instagram Challenge and she spent time with the Global Creative Team working on top models followed
by an editorial style photoshoot. She has worked with many designers at New York Fashion Week, and was lead hair
stylist for the Chicago launch of EDUN, the socially conscious fashion line of Ali Hewson and U2’s Bono. As a guest on
Aveda’s Collection Team, Susan’s work was featured in the Aveda Trend Collection, “Transparency.”
Susan is currently the Creative Director of Asha Salon Spa in Chicago, and a highly requested Master Stylist. As an Aveda
Guest Artist and North America Artistic Team member, Susan coaches salon teams throughout North America, with a
series of custom classes that she has created specifically for salon stylists. Through travel and education, Susan keeps

PATRICK INA
Upon graduating in 2011 from the Brown Aveda Institute in Cleveland
Ohio, Patrick was chosen to participate in a workshop with Jon
Reyman, cutting a live model and graduating on stage during Aveda
Congress. Soon after graduating, Patrick attended numerous advanced
classes with top artists from all over the world. After one year of
working for Ladies and Gentlemen Salon in Cleveland, Patrick joined
the Ladies and Gentlemen creative team at their salon location in Chicago. He worked closely with fellow
stylists on numerous team shoots for NAHA, while also entering his own collections and styling hair in
several fashion shows.
Having moved back to Cleveland, Patrick continues inspire and push limits while working for Ladies and
Gentlemen as a Master Stylist. As his name rapidly grows in recognition, Patrick had the privilege of cutting
a model on stage during Aveda Master Jam in Cleveland. Patrick strives to improve both himself and his
peers by working closely with stylists and assistants in salons and schools, sharing knowledge he has
gained from his experience and focusing on building a social media presence on multiple platforms where
his featured work helps brings in a stream of new clients. As a strong compliment to his abilities as a
stylist, Patrick has taken photography as a hobby, shooting for numerous artists and producing award
winning photos for The Brown Aveda Institute. In 2018, a student from the Brown Aveda Institute won the
Edwin Neil award, as well as numerous winners in ABS. His future holds unlimited potential, as he looks
forward to a bright future with Aveda.

TRACY NEWTON
Tracy Newton has elevated the creative practice and professional
luster of hair fashion in Canada. With her passion for work, and
through her remarkable precision cutting, runway styles and bold
customized colour, Tracy has built a stellar reputation across the
industry and has a delighted loyal client base.
Launching her career with Aveda Institute Canada in 2007 gave Tracy a home to develop her technical skills
and discover her passion for education. With her openness to sharing her gifts, Tracy has mentored students
in addition to hairstylists across Canada which has landed her on the North America Artistic Team with Aveda.
Further, her joy for fashion and creative collaboration has allowed her opportunities alongside many of the
industry’s top professionals at New York Fashion Week, Aveda Congress and Master Jam. Most recently, her
success was recognized in being named the Ontario Hairstylist of the Year at the Contessa Awards 2018.
Tracy has a wise selflessness and kind, gentle manner that belies her fierce creative determination in
partnership with a fiery passion for her craft. Whether working with a client, a student or creative colleague,
Tracy will always make sure her guests leave her side smiling, listened-to and certainly, more beautiful.

MICHAEL PAVLICK
After graduating from Barber College in 1996, Michael Pavlick
continued his education at The Brown Aveda Institute. Since then,
Michael's positive growth, hard discipline and technical ability in
hair cutting enabled him to become an Aveda PurefessionalTM in
2004. Michael continued to study barbering techniques extensively
and earned his place as a Men's Hair Cutting PurefessionalTM.
Michael currently holds the enviable position of Master Stylist
at the renowned Ladies and Gentlemen Salon and is also a prominent member of their Design Team.
Career highlights: Served as guest artist for Neill Corporation on the Unplugged Tour as well as the
2010 Mid-America show. Assisted the founder of Aveda, Horst Rechelbacher. Visited Tokyo, Japan in
2007 representing Aveda Men. Presented on stage with the Ladies and Gentlemen Team at the 2013
Aveda Congress.
