on Pre-Registration Day during Orientation Week. They should
research their options prior to this meeting.

 Academic restrictions
Students (SAS) as well as offering courses in English. You
must check your eligibility for courses. Any student going
through the general agreement to Lund should contact Lena
Jonsson, International Officer, Division of External Relations,
                                        (lena.jonsson@er.lu.se) regarding course enrolments.

Due to a limited number of spaces, the Faculty of Performing
Arts, the Malmö Art Academy and the Faculty of Medicine
admit students within specific faculty/department agreements.
Admittance to courses in these faculties is not guaranteed
even if students are eligible. There is a high demand for
courses at the School of Economics and Management. Also
'economics' and 'business administration' are two different
disciplines – please carefully read the explanations provided
on the exchange course list for the School of Economics and
Management and note that a full-time course load of
Economics, Management and Business cannot be
guaranteed. The School of Architecture demands 3 years of
prior studies in the subject, as well as a portfolio. Industrial
Design, Arts and Music demand previous studies and a
portfolio as part of the admission process.

Please research the suitability of Lund University for your

Banks There are several different banks available in Lund,
Helsingborg and Malmö. There is no specific bank connected
                                        to Lund University.
It is strongly recommended that exchange students make
banking arrangements from their home bank. Students staying
in Sweden for less than six months will experience difficulties

The best part?

                   Gaining confidence and new experiences.”

One of the best parts has been my host family. My life is richer for knowing
them, and I will miss them so much.”

The greatest challenge?

Staying positive during the winter period as it really is very very dark.”

Advice for future exchange students

Accommodation

I would advise students to look into private apartments and lodging
alongside waiting in the AF Bostader queue as it is unlikely you will get any
         official uni accommodation.”

General advice

Definitely join a nation, because if you're active there it can be a really helpful
and important part of your social life.”

It is a much smaller and quieter town than Edinburgh, but is very well situated
for someone looking to travel during down time.”

The Swedish introductory course can be a really good way of making new
friends and meeting other exchange students from all around the world.”
