Winter Break: February 15 to February 19

From Mr. Boss’ Desk:
We are officially halfway through the year. It seems like only yesterday we were preparing the for arrival of the
students in August. This year, more than any other before, we have focused on safety protocols and procedures.
At this point in the year, students are used to physical distancing, wearing masks, handwashing, and sanitizing.
Although we can see a small light at the end of this long tunnel, we still need to be vigilant. Our students have
done a wonderful job following these protocols and I am very proud of their flexibility and positive attitudes.

Through these cold winter months, we have maintained our focus on learning. Our emphasis continues to be on
reading and writing. Where possible we have students working in small groups settings to catch up on any learn-
ing that may have been missed due to Covid-19 and any time spent away from school. We certainly appreciate
the additional work that you are doing at home. We recognize that this has been a challenge for everyone!
Once again, thank you for your continued support as we work our way through this pandemic. Take care and stay
safe!

their students. Thank you for your dedication, commitment and compassion you show

Homework for Absent Students
If you child has missed school and if they have been using Google Classroom, (this applies to
students in grades 6-7-8) parents may want to have their child check their Google Classroom for
work they missed during the day(s) of their absence. This is a good way to stay on top of work that is
missed during their time away from school.
