2. Introduction
Cricket NSW is committed to growing participation and see Cricket as an integral part of
the community fabric. With club participation in sport a key focus for the Eurobodalla
Shire, now is the right time to bring stakeholders together and plan for the future.

In conjunction with the three cricket clubs in the Shire and Eurobodalla Shire Council,
Cricket NSW have developed a cricket strategy to unite and inspire the cricket
community for the next three years and beyond.

As a key plank of developing this strategy, a community workshop was held in Moruya
on 25 March 2019. This workshop discussed current trends in cricket, school programs,
facility needs and other current issues. The workshop also provided the opportunity for
those in attendance to identify key issues and then to develop and discuss key ideas on
how to address identified issues. All clubs were in attendance at the workshop alongside
representatives from a number of schools.

We thank all those involved in the process and we look forward to working with all
stakeholders in implementing the outcomes identified within the strategy.
