New Sentry Connector for Microsoft Teams

Improved incident queue in Microsoft 365 Defender

If you enjoyed working on alerts in the alert queue of Microsoft 365 Defender or Microsoft
Defender for Endpoint, we are excited to tell you that we have expanded the features of our
incident queue. Now you can benefit from the sophisticated incident correlation logic of the
incident queue without losing the capabilities you had in the alert queue.

Announcing Microsoft Endpoint DLP General Availability

The new reality of significant numbers of employees working from home or other remote
locations indefinitely has created renewed emphasis on providing strong, coordinated, and
unified protections across all user touchpoints with sensitive data.

Azure Sphere version 20.10 is now available

The Azure Sphere 20.10 release includes an updated Azure Sphere OS, Azure Sphere SDK, and
extensions for Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code. If your devices are connected to the
internet, they will receive the updated OS from the cloud. However, to develop apps that use the
new features in the OS, you'll need to install the 20.10 SDK and the updated extension for your
development environment.

Topics and Hashtags in Yammer
Yammer powers communities, knowledge, and employee engagement in Microsoft 365.
At Microsoft Ignite, we shared how Yammer is investing in three areas for knowledge: capturing
knowledge with questions and answers, organizing it using topics, and spreading it across the
organization with Project Cortex.

What’s new: Microsoft 365 Defender connector now in Public Preview for Azure Sentinel

We’re very pleased to announce that the public preview of the new Microsoft 365 Defender
connector is now available, alongside a new Azure Sentinel benefit for Microsoft 365 E5
customers! The M365 Defender connector lets you stream advanced hunting logs - a type of
raw event data - from Microsoft 365 Defender into Azure Sentinel. Click here to look at

What's New: Multiple playbooks to one analytic rule

Azure Sentinel playbooks help the SOC automate tasks, improve investigations, and allow quick
responses to threats. Azure Sentinel workspaces are meant to be constantly fine-tuned to be
used effectively: each analytics rule is created to generate alerts on a single unique security risk;
each playbook to handle a specific automation purpose.

OneDrive Roadmap Roundup – October 2020

Teams is your hub for teamwork where people collaborate on files, communicate, and
streamline processes. In an effort to provide a consistent sharing experience across Microsoft
365—no matter where you share your file, whether through Office apps, Outlook, OneDrive, or
SharePoint, the sharing experience is similar—we’re bringing some of the sharing capabilities

Data flow zoom improvements

Azure Data Factory continues to improve the ease of use of the UX. This week, the data flow
canvas is seeing improvements on the zooming functionality. As a user zooms out, the node
sizes will adjust in a smart manner allowing for much easier navigation and management of
complex graphs.

Java Azure Tools Update October 2020: diagnostic experience and JBoss EAP

Welcome to the October update of Java Azure Tools! This is the first blog post for a new
monthly update series for all the Azure tooling support we are providing for Java users,
covering Maven/Gradle plugins for Azure, Azure Toolkit for IntelliJ/Eclipse and Azure

Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Class Type is Available

We are continuing to publish new class types, which are are based on real-world classes that
schools have hosted using Azure Lab Services. This newest class type shows how to set up labs
for Project Lead the Way (PLTW) classes.

Announcing Az Predictor

The Azure PowerShell modules expose over 4,000 cmdlets and, on average, ten parameters per
cmdlet. Experienced PowerShell users will find the right cmdlet and parameter to achieve their
goal but this can be more complicated for casual users.

Attack simulation training public preview now open to all E3 customers

At Ignite 2020, we announced the public preview of Attack simulation training in Microsoft
Defender for Office 365. Delivered in partnership with Terranova Security, Attack simulation
training is a premium feature available to Microsoft Defender for Office 365 P2, Microsoft 365 E5
and Microsoft Security E5 license holders. It empowers customers to detect, analyze and
remediate phishing risk across their users.

Understanding Azure Analysis Services Processing using Log Analytics
When Azure Analysis Services is processing, how do you know where there are opportunities for
improvement? A typical design pattern is to process AAS to ensure that it is fully ready for users,
although AAS can be processed asynchronously in a trigger-based cloud world. When Azure
Analysis Services sends telemetry data to Log Analytics, the logs can be analyzed to find where
the timing is taking for Analysis Services processing.
