➢ Location is highly suspected to have PFAS releases
➢ Location may have associated data that indicates a PFAS release or contamination
➢ Location is proximal to vulnerable drinking water wells
➢ Location may be proximal to sensitive receptors
• Protocol is to:
➢ Develop a sampling plan for potential at-risk homes in coordination w/ local public health and DHHS
➢ Hold Local Officials call

11Potential Public Notification Opportunities
• Area based networks to act as clearing houses for investigation notifications for
regions.
• CAWG member information sharing to local communities.
• A series of animated videos about PFAS connected to the PFAS cycle diagram,
showing what industries might produce PFAS, how PFAS gets into surface water
and groundwater and that refers to (and put online) an interactive map that
allows residents to see if they live near a PFAS site or any likely PFAS-producing
sites (landfill, plater, etc.). This will help them make a decision about whether
they want to sample their own well and the videos can show them where to get
sample kits and how DHHS can help them interpret their results.
