            Information

I have always said that no two season are the same and 2020 certainly proved that. A
season cut so short definitely felt the longest to me as we started to consider all the
challenges before us as early as March.

After returning overseas in late January from a successful camp in Winter Park and
briefly heading to Japan in early February I had no idea that the impact on our
skiing/riding future would be so significant and fast moving. Our Northern Hemisphere
spring camp to the United States which was fully set to go ended up being the first
casualty and at the last minute we made a difficult decision to cancel the trip, much to
the disappointment of all the coaches, athletes and parents that were going.

The rest is history as the MBRC community, its program partners and sponsors worked
together to react and plan for the best outcomes for the club and its members.

On behalf of our coaches, staff and committee, I sincerely thank you all for your
understanding and ability to stick by our plans and decisions.
                                                                  2021your
Please join us and contribute to our club’s rich history as we support MBRC

                                                                                     by
developing your life and snow skills and look forward to a brighter outlook for season
 2021.
As a member of the MBRC community you will enjoy many benefits. Please read the following information carefully as we outline some of these benefits and
provide you with some detailed information that is important to consider for next season’s programs.

Enjoy the following months as you go on summer holidays and enjoy some greater freedom. Stay safe and stay in touch.

                                           MBRC Clubhouse and Equipment Levy

MBRC provides every member the benefit and use of our own clubhouse on Summit Road next to Shakey Knees run.
Through our building levy we have been able to keep the facility up to date and ensure its functionality for current and
future members. Please feel free to come in during normal business hours to say hello, tune your skis or ask questions
about the program or technical aspects regarding snowboard or skiing.

An equipment levy ensures that all athletes have up to date and relevant equipment for safety and training. This includes
gates, safety fencing, Rider X start gates and resources used by coaches such as video, computers, ipad, radios, tuning
equipment and drills to set courses.

 Race Crew

Join the “MBRC race crew” for 2021. This new and exciting position will include roles such as chief of gates, slip and maintenance marshal, video recorder, race official
and set up team member. These varying and interesting roles will count toward your volunteer contribution and will provide valuable insight into how events are
organised and run. Interested parties should contact the Program Director directly via email at richard@mtbullerraceclub.com.au

A Club Of Organisers and Volunteers

In the upcoming season, MBRC will be hosting the Buller Cup, King of the Mountain series and the
Australian Childrens series for alpine athletes. To be able to keep costs low and to provide a high-
quality race MBRC needs the help of each family!

MBRC relies on your support to organise race events for your children. According to our Volunteer
Policy, a parent of a member is required to volunteer at least once per season; volunteer positions
will be allocated by the office. With your application you agree to fulfil this volunteer duty or find a
 replacement.

MBRC requires all volunteering parents to hold a Working With Children Check in 2021. At least
one parent of each athlete will need a current WWCC in order to complete the program
application. The application process cannot be completed without a current WWCC. Let's work
together and enjoy the sport as a family and club!

 • Deposits contribute to MBRC’s fixed costs and are non-refundable.
 • The balance of program fees are non-refundable save as MBRC agrees. We recommend an insurance policy that will cover loss of fees.

the winter season and is subject to change as circumstances require.

 Concussion Policy

MBRC has concussion management in place for all program participants in season 2021. MBRC recognizes that concussion is a serious injury and we will fully adopt
the advice and protocols outlined in the latest concussion information from the Australian Medical Association (AMA) and Snow Australia. Additionally the Mt Buller
Ski Patrol, Medical Centre and Doctors at the center will all be up to date on this information from the AMA and work closely with the club to ensure the safe
management of an Athlete should a serious concussion have occurred.

The reality is that your child may miss training and returning to snow for a minimum of two weeks or more. If training is missed due to concussion, MBRC will
endeavor to offer replacement training at a time that MBRC is offering normal training in the regular season or during confir med pre or post season training. There
will be no refund available due to concussion or any other injury. We recommend that you consider insurance to provide cover if a concussion or other injury results
in your child missing training. All athletes coming back from a concussion or any other injury will enter a return to snow pr ogram that will be assessed and created on
a case by case basis in conjunction with a Medical Practitioner and MBRC’s medical advisor. https://concussioninsport.gov.au

 Welcome
 MBRC – Season 2020
Choosing the right program for your child – Full time or Weekend

We introduce our children to sports so they can grow up developing physical, social, psychological and mental skills as well as having fun and making friends. Often
the specific sports we guide our kids to do are ones we have done ourselves and school, peers or clubs are the ones that foster genuine love for sport and develop the
competitive drive. As time goes on we have different motivations, expectations and outcomes of the chosen sport and it is at this point when I often speak with
parents who start thinking about greater outcomes for their child and say "If only we knew what we know now when we were starting out we would have done
things differently " or words to that affect.
It is here where MBRC are improving this decision making process for our members and will draw on our own combined years of experience, local knowledge and the
resources of Snow Australia to provide you with advice and relevantinformation. To help you decide choosing the right program for your child, please consider the
 following simple and essential pieces of advice and information before doing so;

 ▪ Consider a first time fulltime Alpine or Snowboard programs at a younger age ( 9-14yrs) when education is playing a lesser role than it does in later years. Time
spent on snow in the younger years are most critical to establishing correct fundamentals and skills as well as developing strong friendships and experiences.

"2020 was the first year our son participated in the fulltime program and we were so impressed by how the club adapted to the challenging
conditions and trained the athletes, we have no choice but to experience it again in 2021. Thank you MBRC and see you next year" - Sean Bate
 (Oliver Bate U10 Fulltime Alpine)

"I congratulate you on your delivery of a race club program under very trying circumstances. Next year we will enter both Matilda and
Valentina into the full time program. The Buller winter community has a fabulous feeling about it." - Jonathan Hayden (Valentina Hayden U12
 Fulltime Alpine)

 ▪ Consider a weekend program during the last years at school with extra training blocks when you can and focus more of your tim e to your study and keep active by
staying in touch with your friends, the club and snow until the time when you have more time to return to training. Find ways to make it happen.

 ▪ Look at the FTEM for Snow Board Cross and Alpine which is a large body of work by the AIS and Snow Australia which unpacks a World Cup winning athlete's
pathway from the early days and where they were at as they developed to ultimately regular podiums on the World Cup. This is a key document to look at in broad
terms and refer back to as you map your journey at MBRC and beyond. https://www.snow.org.au/pathways/athlete-pathways

 ▪ Contact the MBRC Program Director and staff to tap into their vast experience and knowledge. This is your most valuable resource and we are here to help you
make these decisions at whatever age, level or years at the club.

New – Season 2020
    For 2021

 MBRC Red Athlete Jackets

MBRC are excited to announce that Karbon will continue as our preferred jacket supplier for the next four years.
This is part of an exciting new era of uniform offering to our members and comes after an extensive review by the
MBRC committee to bring our jackets into line with our clubs’ value of sustainability and contribution to
minimising waste. For 2021, any member from 2020 can keep wearing the current jacket or it can be passed onto
an existing 2020 member for next year only. Beyond 2021, all members will need to purchase a new red jacket,
however if you would like to purchase a new jacket for next year you can. All new members for 2021 will require a
 new jacket.

We will maintain the current black soft shell, black rain coat and new for 2021 will be a black puffer jacket. All
prices for red jackets and black outerwear will be confirmed in the coming weeks. All existing black outerwear can
be used for the next four years and new items will be available for purchase in 2021.

MBRC will help manage and sell second hand jackets from 2021 through a virtual shop where members can sell
their red or black jackets when they no longer have a use for them providing they have been well kept and are of
acceptable condition. Karbon have a reputation for great quality and robustness and to complement the long
term look and life of the red jacket, sponsors logos will be embroidered as opposed to an iron on application.

 Snow Australia Children's Series – Alpine U14 and U16

For the first time since 2015, MBRC will host the 2021 Snow Australia Children's Series races at Mt Buller from alpine athletes. This will be an exciting opportunity
for our eligible U14 and U16 athletes to race on their home mountain and for the younger athletes to be inspired as they see the best athletes in Australia
perform at their best to gain Australian Childrens Team selection.

This will be an exciting 4 days and a chance for MBRC and its members to showcase the club and its ability to host a major event. We look forward to getting the
entire Mt Buller community involved and benefiting from having over 100 additional athletes and family members staying on the mountain during this period.

Welcome – Season 2020
New For 2021

Remote Dryland Training

MBRC will deliver remote dryland training online via zoom for 2021 in terms 1,2 and 4. MBRC has committed
great resources in developing this type of training over the last year and during term 4 2020, a total of 76 skiers
and boarders across all age groups signed up to our first term long program. Athletes learnt new skills,
terminology and made advances in strength and conditioning as well as preserving a team environment in the
off- snow season and keeping in touch with the MBRC coaching team.

Our aim is to develop independent athletically minded skiers and boarders who take ownership of their training,
maintain consistency and structure which are all key elements to the program and overall improvement. Online
sessions are an effective way of training and save time with the convenienceof training at home or remotely
using minimal equipment to maintain high levels of fitness even when travelling overseas or in competition
phases when athletes are on the road.

Sessions typically go for 45 Minutes and are structured with a warm up, strength or skill component and a short
high intensity work out. Remote training will develop a well-rounded base fitness level and MBRC strongly
recommends and supports athletes participating in other additional sports, training and specific strength and
conditioning programs with external providers.

Purchase all three terms and save 50% which equates to $5 per session.

Additional– Camps
            Season–2020
                    Alpine & Snowboard

MBRC will offer additional training camps in 2021 for all Snowboard and Alpine
athletes that are members of a weekend or fulltime program for 2021.

Early season camps give athletes a chance to get on snow early and start a return to
snow progression before the school holidays. The spring camps provide athletes an
ideal opportunity to continue their learning and skill development when the weather is
often more stable and in a different learning environment outside of the competition
cycle.

Buller Ski Lifts makes quality early season and late spring skiing possible by continually
improving and adding to snow making technology, slope management and major
infrastructure in the form of the new dam.
