Lord’s Day Worship
                       GOD INVITES US TO WORSHIP HIM

*CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 103:1-5, 8 Elder Greg Gorman

  Leader: Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
  People: Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,
  Leader: who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,
  People: who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with
            steadfast love and mercy,
  Leader: who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
  People: The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and
            abounding in steadfast love.

*SONG                                                                 WE WILL FEAST
                                      CHORUS
                        We will feast in the house of Zion.
                       We will sing with our hearts restored.
                           “He has done great things,”
                                we will say together.
                        We will feast and weep no more.
                                         1
                        We will not be burned by the fire.
                             He is the Lord our God.
                        We are not consumed, by the flood.
                         Upheld, protected, gathered up.

                                      CHORUS
                                         2
                       In the dark of night, before the dawn,
                               My soul, be not afraid.
                            For the promised morning,
                   Oh how long? O God of Jacob, be my strength!

                                      CHORUS
3
                                                 Every vow we’ve broken and betrayed,
                                                       You are the Faithful One.
                                                   And from the garden to the grave,
                                                    Bind us together, bring shalom!

                                                               CHORUS

*PRAYER OF ADORATION (CONCLUDING WITH THE LORD’S PRAYER) Mr. Colton Brewer
     Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come,
     thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
     bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not
     into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and
     the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Ephesians 2:13, 17-20

     People of God, what do you believe?

     But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought
     near by the blood of Christ. And he came and preached peace to you who
     were far off and peace to those who were near. For through him we both
     have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer
     strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and
     members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles
     and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone….

                                                 GOD CLEANSES US FROM OUR SIN

CONFESSION OF SIN                                                                               Psalm 32:3-5

     For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all
     day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength
     was dried up as by the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you, and
     I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the
     Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.

SILENT CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF PARDON                                                      Psalm 103:10-12

  He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our
  iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love
  towards those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove
  our transgressions from us.

*SONG                                                                    IN CHRIST ALONE
                                                 1
                           In Christ alone my hope is found;
                          He is my light, my strength my song;
                          This cornerstone, this solid ground,
                      Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
                       What heights of love, what depths of peace,
                      When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
                             My Comforter, my All in All —
                            Here in the love of Christ I stand.
                                             2
                           In Christ alone, who took on flesh,
                            Fullness of God in helpless babe.
                           This gift of love and righteousness,
                          Scorned by the ones He came to save.
                             Till on that cross as Jesus died,
                             The wrath of God was satisfied;
                            For all my sin on Him was laid —
                            Here in the death of Christ I live.
                                             3
                           There in the ground His body lay,
                          Light of the world by darkness slain;
                          Then bursting forth in glorious Day,
                           Up from the grave He rose again!
                              And as He stands in victory,
                           Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
                             For I am His and He is mine —
                        Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
4
                                          No guilt in life no fear in death —
                                          This is the power of Christ in me;
                                         From life's first cry to final breath,
                                            Jesus commands my destiny.
                                        No power of hell, no scheme of man,
                                         Can ever pluck me from His hand;
                                         Till He returns or calls me home —
                                        Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

PASTORAL PRAYER                                                                    Elder Greg Gorman

                                        GOD FEEDS US FROM HIS WORD

*BIBLE READING                                                                     Mark 12:1-34 (NIV)

    Leader: The Word of the Lord.
    People: Thanks be to God!

SERMON                                                                            Mr. Mark Husband

                                              “Marvelous in Our Eyes”

*SONG                                                                             HIS MERCY IS MORE
                                                          1
                        What love could remember, no wrongs we have done;
                          Omniscient, all-knowing, He counts not their sum.
                              Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore;
                              Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

                                                      CHORUS
                                                Praise the Lord!
                                               His mercy is more.
                                    Stronger than darkness, new every morn’;
                                            Our sins they are many,
                                               His mercy is more.
2
                                What patience would wait as we constantly roam;
                                  What Father so tender is calling us home.
                                 He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor;
                                  Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

                                                           CHORUS
                                                             3
                                  What riches of kindness He lavished on us;
                                His blood was the payment, His life was the cost.
                                 We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford;
                                  Our sins they are many, His mercy is more.

                                                           CHORUS
