                          ranges, sampling New Zealand’s finest wines and local food;
                          it’s simply quite remarkable!

                          Please join me at this magnificent location of Queenstown,
                          NZ for our annual muster of Master Electricians hosted by
                          the Southland branch of Master Electricians.

                          Looking over the programme, delegates and their families
     Mike Barr,           are going to be treated to good old South Island hospitality
     National President   in this world class location that tourists from all over the
                          world are wanting to experience.

                          This our 60th conference, while ensuring you’re kept very
                          busy with classic Queenstown adventure, will also set the
                          bar on business sessions ensuring that there are topics for
                          everyone to get value from – to grow your business.

                          Networking opportunities with like-minded members will
                          also be a focus – I’m sure there will be a lot of opportunity
                          to sample some of the world class beer, wine and foods on
                          offer over discussions important to you and your business.

                          If you have never been to a Master Electricians conference

BRANCH PRESIDENTS WELCOME
                    It is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to
                    invite you to attend the 60th Master Electricians Annual
                    Conference to be held at the Rydges Hotel in Queenstown.
                    The spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu and the scenic
                    Remarkables Mountains stand as icons of Queenstown,
                    known internationally as the adventure capital of the world
                    and laying claim to many opportunities and activities that
                    have dubbed Queenstown as the tourist mecca that it is.

Warren Keen,        Your 2018 Master Electricians Conference will be a
Branch President    conference like no other, offering you spectacular views,
                    the Lady of the Lake, the iconic Walter Peak Station
                    and that it is only on day one. The balanced programme
                    offering business, educational and social activities will be
                    enhanced by the opportunity to explore Queenstown and
                    the surrounding panorama.

                    We are offering a diverse program with exciting electives,
                    an exclusive Partners Breakfast, along with opportunities
                    for children to be involved. This is a conference not to be
                    missed, and the benefits that you will gain along with the
                    opportunity for networking with fellow contractors will

DINNER FUNCTIONS
     Opening and Welcome Function
     Cocktails on the TSS Earnslaw heading up Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station for
     a BBQ. Casual Dress.

     Formal Evening and Apprentice of the Year Awards Dinner
     Enjoy the chairlift ride to the Skyline Chalet for the Formal Dinner and Apprentice of
     the Year Presentations, while enjoying the iconic view of the Lake Wakatipu and The
     Remarkables Mountains. Formal Dress.

     Closing Dinner Show
     To be held at Rydges Hotel, entertainment galore. Cocktails on the balcony will
     precede this event. Casual Dress.

     Partners Breakfast
     On Friday morning the partners will enjoy breakfast and a cruise with Southern
     Discoveries, they will be transported to the boat and then, after breakfast, will be
     able to enjoy some free time in Queenstown.

     Sights of the Wakatipu Tour
     Your luxury bus will take you for a brief tour to see the sights of the Wakatipu Basin,
     there may well be an opportunity to sample the local wines as well.

     ELECTIVES
     Two Rivers One Lake Jet Boating
     Firstly, your twin engine jet boat roars across the crystal clear waters of Lake
     Wakatipu at breathtaking speed surrounded by the majestic mountains and
     awesome scenery. You then zoom under the Kawarau Dam onto the deep green
     waters of the Kawarau River complete with loads of 360 degree spins.

     Cycle Arrowtown Trails
     You are picked up from the Rydges Hotel and transferred to the historic Gold mining
     village of Arrowtown, pick up your bike and ride from Arrowtown, passing the Bungy
     Bridge through to Gibbston Tavern. E-bikes can be provided at an additional cost.

     Highlands Car Museum/ Go-karts/ Hot Lap
     Enjoy a ride around the Highlands Track in a Porsche taxi, test your skills on the Go-
     kart track, and then relax with a quiet drink while visiting the impressive Highlands
     National Motorsport Museum featuring a collection of historically significant race
     cars and Motorsport hall of fame.

     Zipline Queenstown
     Enjoy an exhilarating zipline adventure situated high above Queenstown, hang out in
     the magnificent mountain air and glide through the treetops on a series of ziplines
     with spectacular views. Don’t fear, your guides will manage everything technical for
     you.

     Wineries Tour
     Central Otago has become one of the world’s premier wine regions producing
     some of the best Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Chardonnay wines. Take an
     opportunity to sample a few of these and visit a selection of local wineries by coach.

     Golf
     For those that would enjoy a pleasant walk near the lake and mountains while
     driving, chipping and putting a little white ball, this is the opportunity for you.

CHILDREN’S  ACTIVITIES
KIDS ACTIVITIES
We encourage delegates to bring the whole family, including the children, who are
welcome to participate In the following conference activities.

Provided that the children are always accompanied by a parent, they are welcome
to participate in the Opening Cocktail Hour, Earnslaw Trip and the Opening Dinner
BBQ at Walter Peak, along with access to their choice of Saturday afternoon
electives including Highland Park, Jet Boating, Zipline, and Cycle Tour. (activities may
be age dependent)

 A child registration fee of $225.00 contributes toward the cost of the activities
listed above.

The Southland Branch will assess the number and ages of children attending and will
make contact with the families who have registered children to discuss any further
opportunities. Should there be further activities available there may be a token fee
to cover costs.

This information is correct at time of publishing. The programme, price, and travel dates are subject to change without
notice. Prices are valid for Master Electricians (ME) Conference bookings only. You must be a current financial member of
Master Electricians to attend this conference or have prior approval from Master Electricians.

Sales period
Valid for sale until 22 October2018, unless otherwise stated, withdrawn or sold out prior.

General Conditions
- Conference is based on three (3) nights’ accommodation and all standard activities listed in the program.
- Prices are based on run of house rooms, with Partners sharing a standard Delegate room. If a larger room is required
to accommodate families, additional charges will apply and be payable by the Delegate.
- A run of house room can accommodate 2 adults.
- If an alternative room is required, additional charges will be advised.
- Connecting / adjoining rooms available, subject to availability.
- Prices exclude airfares, transfers from Queenstown airport to the hotel are included where possible.
- 0-3 years, 3-17 years - charges apply as negotiated.

Payment
- Payment in full is due on the receipt of this registration form.

Alterations to the program, cancellation or postponement of the conference/event
ME reserves the right to make alterations to the arrangements of conference/event as published, either before
or during the conference/event. Liability will be limited to the registration fee paid by the delegate. Delegates are
encouraged to ensure they have adequate travel insurance in the event of a cancellation. In the event of it being found
necessary, for whatever reason, for the conference/event to be postponed or the dates changed, ME shall not be liable
for expenditure, damage or loss incurred by the delegate.

Booking Cancellations
Cancellations must be notified in writing to asfyfe@xtra.co.nz
If a cancellation notice is received prior to 30 June 2018, a refund will be processed less an administration fee of $150
per delegate and / or partner plus supplier cancellation fees. If a cancellation notice is received after 30 June 2018,
a refund will be processed less 50% of the total delegate fee plus supplier cancellation fees. If a cancellation notice is
received after 1 October 2018, no refund will be given for delegate registrations plus you will be required to pay any
supplier cancellation fees. We strongly advise that individuals purchase Travel Insurance.

Activities
All delegates participating in the activities must have a level of fitness that suits the activity. Where applicable, before
an activity, each participant MUST complete and sign any required waiver to acknowledge any activity that has inherent
risks and may result in personal injury, risk, danger and the possibility of injury and harm.
