process for pupils starting GCSE and
Vocational courses in September 2021.

All pupils will study English, Maths,
Science, Core PE, Religious Studies (RS)
and Sex and Relationships Education
(SRE).

All pupils will have the opportunity to study
the full range of subjects on offer with
guidance given to those who require
support with their choices.

The choices that you make now will play a
part in shaping your future education and
employment opportunities. It is important
that you think carefully about your option
choices and take the time to talk with your
family and teachers about your decisions.

ABOUT GCSE GRADING
AND EBACC SUBJECTS

“New” GCSE Grading                                          English Baccalaureate (Ebacc)
A few years ago the government changed the grading system   This is a qualification measure which demonstrates whether
