ORIENTATION GUIDE SEMESTER 2, 2018
ORIENTATION ARTWORK Yang Lui, Student Designer UC student Yang Lui is the winner of the annual Orientation and Transition Program Artwork Award for 2018. The design is based on the experience of first time students diving into an ocean of knowledge and unknowns all at the same time. The illustrated octopus implies an ‘oceanic feeling’ of limitlessness, freedom, challenge and oneness. The design says ‘We are octopus, we have six arms and two legs, we are multitaskers, and we have the flexibility to achieve our goals’. CONSENT MATTERS At the University of Canberra we all have the right to a respectful and supportive environment where we can study, work and live safely. Our community has zero tolerance to unacceptable behaviour such as bullying, violence, harassment or sexual assault. It’s up to all of us to make sure we work together to keep our University safe. For more information, visit canberra.edu.au/current-students/ canberra-students/student-support/safe-and-respectful-community
