Welcome to all of the individuals brave enough to attend the
Possum Queen Foundation’s New Year’s Day Festival. It has
been more than a quarter century that this event has taken
place on the 1st day of your new year.

After the first year it was surprising that they even
remembered to have it the next year. The Possum Queen
Festival has now been put together and rolled out for 29
years. There are so many people and organizations to thank
we just could never do it in this short space but all the efforts
have not gone unnoticed. The needs of individuals or families
who have medical hardships and fall into an overwhelming
task of going forward have been our mission since our
inception.

The Board of Directors has worked diligently with our
associate boards, our distribution committee, community
members and frankly anyone we could get involved, to help
build this wonderful institution.

We believe that through laughter and camaraderie we can
achieve anything. This is our primary fundraiser every year
and it gives our Possum Queen Foundation Inc. the ability to
give grants away to individuals and families who have come
upon difficult times due to severe medical issues. We hope to
continue for many years to come and all of this is possible
because of your care and generosity. And we thank you!!!

THE POSSUM QUEEN
             FOUNDATION
            BRIEF HISTORY
  Just think 29 years ago, YES 29 years ago, this event started with
     two guys sitting in a bar on New Year’s Day. The fact that they
     remembered to do it again and then yet again still amazes the
   great scientists of the world. The first year had anywhere from 3
      to 7 people, we had trouble counting back then but has now
   grown past 650 generous and caring folks and we don’t want to
 stop there. Through everyone’s generosity over the years you have
    turned, what was a small glimmer of thought into a tremendous
      charitable foundation! The Founders of The Possum Queen
   Foundation started out raising just over $400 at the first Possum
      Queen Festival and over the years we have totaled well over
 $350,000 in grants to our deserving recipients. The Possum Queen
       Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to benefit
    individuals and families with severe medical hardships. We are
     very proud of the fact that in our 29 year history we have been
            able to devote nearly all proceeds to the intended
   recipients. We pay the fees and insurance necessary to keep us
legal, and ALL of the rest of the money goes to the recipients, (which
 is about 92%). Everyone associated with this charity is a volunteer,
   dedicated to making things better for individuals or families who
  have a bump in their road. Thank you for your kind and generous
                                  support.

        Established in Litchfield Conn, we have quietly aided
           our surrounding communities for over 29 years
