                                  PRESENTATION OF THE MASTER
T
         The aim of the Master is to offer participants a wide and updated view of the preventive
H and therapeutic possibilities of modern Orthodontics, in an integrated multidisciplinary vision,

O both on the theoretical and clinical level, extended from the early treatment to the
     orthodontics of the adult, with particular attention to the use of 3D technologies.
D
O The main objectives we set ourselves are:

N • provide the essential knowledge to arrive at a correct diagnosis and a logical and
      consequential treatment plan in the orthodontic field;
T
    • update the knowledge on the prevention of malocclusions in the developmental age;
ı • acquire the commodity concepts and train the participants in the manual skills necessary to

C undertake the clinical treatment of patients of all ages, with the practical implementation of the
     principles and techniques exhibited.
S
, In particular, all the issues related to orthodontics will be dealt with: the documentation of

M clinical cases, the diagnosis, the long-term treatment plan, the phases therapy, the
     orthodontic biomechanics and its applications according to the various schools, the
S modalities of action of the most common devices, the risk of relapse and the techniques of
C retentions. Among the objectives of the Master there is also the mastery of the management
     of the adult patient, evaluated from an interdisciplinary point of view; in particular we will
     examine the principles of combined orthodontic, gnathologic, periodontal and prosthetic
     treatment up to the correction of severe skeletal dysmorphism through orthognathic surgery.

        Each therapeutic choice will be based on the search for the most effective, efficient,
    reliable, tolerable, safe and economical method, with the help of the presentation and
    discussion of numerous clinical cases with multi-year follow-up. Ample space will be
    dedicated to practical activities with a guided approach to specific diagnostic procedures
    and essential dexterities in the orthodontic clinic. In addition, students will be encouraged to
    present personal, properly documented clinical cases to be discussed collegially.

        Speakers and tutors are selected on the basis of their teaching skills and abilities, but
