Wilmington Hammerheads, and current MLS player Luke

PSC Agency Staff:
                Worldwide Recruitment

Over the last 10 years PSC Agency staff have recommended over 475
players from events like this for placement or trial in Europe, America,
Australia, and Asia. Our agency staff have so many connections and contacts
from events and combines over the years and it is not possible to invite them
all to a tryout. We are eager to get as many players placed as possible and
are constantly reaching out to clubs to find out their player needs. Recent
examples are Chase Webert, Patick Kibler (signed in Australia), David
Brown, Tobi Jnohope (signed in Malta), Jesus Ibarra (Signed in
Sweden), Jamie Dell (Signed in USA) and Devin Morgan, (signed in Iceland).
All of whom were signed by clubs who did not attend a combine but trusted
PSC’s professional experience and judgment. If you prove you are a strong
enough player at our Atlanta Pro Soccer Tryout , we will look to place you with
                            any club in our network.
What our Agency Staff, and attending
coaches, are looking for?

Players often ask what the Agency staff are looking for in a player.
First and foremost, we are looking for players who have technical,
tactical and athletic ability to play at the professional level.

Following that, we are looking for players who display professional
attitudes in terms of time-keeping, attitude on the field, attitude off
the field, ability to work with fellow team-mates and respect shown to
attending coaches and staff. Players who do not show the above will
not be recommended to professional clubs by Agency staff.
How to Impress a coach at a Pro
 Soccer Tryout?

Players often ask us what they can do to stand out and catch the eye of
attending coaches. It is a tough question to answer definitively, as football
is a game of opinions and every coach looks for something different in the
players they sign.

If you ask people for their top 5 players in the world and you will get a
variety of answers. It is the same at a PSC combine as each of the
coaches evaluating players will have a different opinion and be looking for
different qualities in the players they see at a tryout.

However, we can certainly give players basic advice on do’s and don’ts
during the tryout based on what we have witnessed over the last 11 years
of running try-outs. All of these have happened at previous events….
Ways to make a Bad
Impression

• Turn up late
• Spend more time moaning at the referee than playing
    the game
• Get in to fights and arguments with players around
    you
• Get in to fights and arguments with coaches
• Text or email the coaches or staff asking for a ride to
    the fields
• Refuse to follow instructions given to you by the
    coach
Ways to make a good
impression

• Work hard on the field both attacking and defending
• Follow instructions covered in this information pack
• Follow instructions given to you during the tryout by
    coaches and by PSC staff
• Arrive on time to the event
• Work well and co-operate with the players around you
    on the field
• Remember you are being judged for your character
    as much as your ability
What happens after the
           Tryout?

After the Tryout one of four outcomes will follow:
1. Selected to sign or trial with an attending club (can involve immediate travel to
outside of USA so please be ready to accept an opportunity like that)
2. Recommended to trial or sign with a non-attending club through PSC Agency staff
recommendation (can involve immediate travel to outside of USA so please be
ready to accept an opportunity like that)
3. Considered for PSC’s European Showcase where players will get to test themselves
against professional opposition and showcase to further coaches around the world
    in a high-level professional environment.
4. Not considered ready for the professional level at this time and provided an
individual feedback sheet with guidance direct from the coaches.

Players will be contacted by PSC staff within 10 days of the event informing them of their outcome.
