Thank you for supporting Red Oak Behavioral Health! With
roots in the community since 1963, Red Oak creates personal
connections and partnerships with our clients in settings
where our clients feel safe. Whether we are providing services
within area schools, in our outpatient office, or remotely using
telehealth, we’ll meet you wherever you are.
The Where Love Grows Silent Auction

A MESSAGE FROM MEGAN KLEIDON
WHAT A YEAR WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH TOGETHER.
2020 was a year for the record books in so many ways. It was a year of discord, a year of isolation, and a
year of significant unrest and upheaval. But it was also a year of innovation, resilience, and reexamining
our priorities to focus on what matters most. 2020 was a year that reminded us that we can do hard
things when we put our mind to it - and that regardless of who we are, where we’re from, or what
we know, we are all interconnected.
Nowhere has this been more true than at Red Oak. Revenues have been down, stress has been high,
schools have been opened and closed, and we’ve all been running on a bit of an empty tank. Yet over
and over again, our team has risen to the occasion to rebuild our framework in this “new normal”.
They innovated in their work, provided support and encouragement to one another, and doubled down
in their commitment to the clients who count on us for care. They delivered 10,000 meals to homebound
clients in our care, and led Google Classroom training for their clients and their peers. They facilitated
therapy sessions in parks and through porch screen doors. They practiced coping skills using virtual
cooking demos, and held masked sessions with kids and families on living room rugs.
In the midst of 2020’s collective trauma, they were the embodiment of resilience and grace.
As we begin 2021, our hope is we can all breathe a little deeper, be able to hug our loved ones, and feel
a sense of connection to not only our friends and families, but also to our communities. It won’t be an
easy hill to climb, but together we can do hard things.
We thank you for your partnership and for all the support you provide to ensuring we ‘meet children
where they are’! We are truly grateful for you!
