Hi! Thank you for the opportunity to share our lives with you.
We would like to hear your life journey while we are sharing
life, our family and commitment to our future child with you.
We truly love children and have always dreamed of expand-
ing our family. However, we have been unable to do so natu-

program for the past three years which allowed us to provide a
loving home for many children during their early years. Dur-
ing this process, we developed good parenting skills. We feel so
joyful for becoming foster parents and helping to take care of
                      our nieces and nephews.
Although we have been blessed to be a host of these children,
we still long for the opportunity to have children of our own.
We expect ourselves to watch our children grow and share our
                      life moments together.

How We Met
and Fell in Love
O ur love story can be summed up
with a quote by Patti Smith that reads
“Paths that cross will cross again”.

We met briefly as children many years
ago and had no idea our paths would
cross many years later by way of a mutu-
al friend.

Robert’s father and Marquee’s uncle
were lifelong best friends.

Although we met briefly as young chil-
dren our paths wouldn’t cross again for
nearly 35 years. We dated for about 8
months and were engaged shortly after.

Although Robert’s father and Marquee’s
Uncle were deceased when we were rein-
troduced and later married, we believe
that by God’s grace their friendship was
ordained to later form our union of 7
years on May 31st. It is amazing how
our life paths and love stories are inter-
twined!

Lifestyle and Religion
Our lifestyle is modest and complete. We enjoy simple things in life, such as staying at
home, watching a movie or playing games in our yard.

We love to have fun! On the weekends, we love to spend time together as a family. For ex-
ample, we love shopping at a local flea market, baking treats for a fundraiser or church
event -- we keep ourselves busy.

On Sundays, we attend church service and then head to the park with our friends and family
for a volleyball or basketball game.

Besides this, we also enjoy hosting our niece and nephews for arts and craft. They some-
times come to our house for sleepovers because they enjoy spending time with us!

Future Parenting Style
We find that a communicative approach
                                                      works best in young children’s
                                                      development.

We believe in not only teaching but also
                                                      modeling values both morally and
                                                      biblically at a young age.

Robert and Marquee enjoy teaching our
niece and nephews by asking them to
share their toys or exercise patience
when waiting for their turn on the swing.
We have found teachable moments in
                                                      almost everything.

Marquee with her niece and nephew at Halloween We always make sure we have effective
                                                      communication with our niece and
nephews and care about their feelings.

Most importantly, we want to show love
and support for our little ones so they will

                                                      future.

We will also prepare our children to face
challenges so they know how to solve
                                                      problems on their own.

Extended Family

O ur extended family and friends
are embedded into our daily lives.

When we enjoy a movie night at
Grandma’s house or watch our younger
brother play in a basketball game, we
pride ourselves on supporting one
another and valuing the time we have
together.

We are fortunate because many of our Christmas with our family

family members live within a five-mile
radius from our house. We can take
care of each other easily and spend
quality time together. Our families are
supportive and joyous of our plan. They
look forward to future play dates with
our children. They are also excited in
enrolling them into the same school and
                                                   Church theater productions
making lasting memories together.

Pets
We have two dogs named Princess
and Max. They are friendly and
love to play. They especially like
to play with children. Both enjoy
running around the yard.

We have trained our dogs so they
listen to our instructions very well.
For example, they can sit properly
when we watch our favorite movie
or television show. We can’t wait
to see our children play with
them!

Celebrations
Holidays are a big deal to our family! We love the opportunity
to be together and show love to others. During Thanksgiving,
we prepare care packages and distribute them to needy
families. Traditionally, our entire family partakes in a
delectable meal cooked by Grandma each year.

During Christmas, we go to various holiday productions, sing
Christmas carols at local hospitals and participate in a
Christmas drama kit at our church . Our traditions can be
summarized with four words: faith, fellowship, food and fun.
These holiday celebrations bind us together.

Travel
We really enjoy our road trips adventures!
We find ourselves hopping in the car and
driving to Ocean City to go down the
boardwalk or walk along the beach.
We love amusement parks and have visit-
ed many across the east coast. We fre-
  quently visit Florida.
We love to soak up the sun and take a dip
in the pool. We also participate in annual
church retreats because it is so much fun.
In the future, we would love to bring our
children to Hawaii to see some of the
  beautiful islands there.

Home and
Neighborhood

Our home has an American craftsman style. We
have three bedrooms and two and a half
bathrooms. We have three warmly-decorated
levels and an open floor plan.
Our backyard is fenced in and allows for adequate
space to entertain and play. We have a bedroom
designated for our future baby. Our neighborhood
is a diverse community.
We have many facilities such as parks, public
schools, shopping centers and a local amusement
park. We are walking distance from our local
elementary school. There are great walking trails
nearby for us to get closer to the nature.
W e appreciate your bravery and courage throughout this process. We
will love and cherish your child while providing a loving and safe
environment where he or she can grow. We are committed to God and to
one another.

Our close marriage and family bond have prepared us for this and will
sustain us in the future. We will honor your place in your child’s life . God
bless you for your strength and we will continue praying for you.
