ITINERARY
As current title holders of World Cup Champions, Germany boasts some of the top club sides in the world. Home to
European giants Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen, Germany is rich with soccer culture and
passionate support. The German League, Bundesliga, is considered among the best in the world. The national team,
popularly referred to as "Die Mannschaft, " is renowned for its efficiency and tactical ability.

DAY 1 Saturday, 21 March 2020
Relax and enjoy our scheduled flight from Chicago Ohare to Frankfurt, Germany

itinerary will be determined based on the size of the group, any adjustments that are required
(such as adding additional matches), and the final schedule of the matches. (If additional
matches are required, then some sightseeing content will be replaced by the additional
matches needed.)
DAY 2 Sunday, 22 March 2020
Our 24-hour Tour Director will meet us at the airport and remain with us until our final airport
departure.
We will have use of a private coach and driver, while touring for the next seven days.
Dortmund was founded about 882 and became known as an Imperial Free City. After the
Thirty Years' War the city was destroyed and decreased in significance until the onset of
industrialization. The city then became one of Germany's most important coal, steel and beer
centers. It is now home to many cultural and educational institutions, to include the German
Football Museum. Dortmund is also home to Borussia Dortmund, one of the most successful
clubs in German football history. The team plays at Westfalenstadion, currently known as
Signal Iduna Park, Germany's largest football stadium.
Lunch will be by the group's own arrangement and cost.
DORTMUND WALKING TOUR
Take a Walking Tour of this quaint little city. You will see historical monuments, but its diverse
architecture through the modern buildings as well. You see the lovely old houses mixed in with
some great shopping experiences.
Tonight we will have dinner in the hotel restaurant.
DAY 3 Monday, 23 March 2020
This morning we will have breakfast at the hotel.
BORUSSIA DORTMUND TRAINING SESSION
We will participate in a training session with BVB Coaching Staff at the Borussia Dortmund
Training Facilities. Your training session will be based on the BVB youth academy concept of
enhancing technical skills and emphasis on team spirit and cooperation.
Today lunch is included in the VIP area at the stadium.

We will participate in a training session with BVB Coaching Staff at the Borussia Dortmund
Training Facilities. Your training session will be based on the BVB youth academy concept of

DAY 3 Monday, 23 March 2020
SIGNAL IDUANA PARK
Visit Signal Iduna Park, the official home to Borussia Dortmund. The stadium is one of the
most famous football grounds in Europe and the largest stadium in Germany, with its
maximum capacity of 81,360 people! We will be in expert hands as our friendly and
knowledgeable tour guide will take us through the history of this club and give us the behind
the scenes tour to include a stop in the 'Yellow Wall' area which is the largest free-standing
grandstand in Europe and the most intimidating area to opponents on game day. We will
check out the Executive Boxes and enjoy photo opportunities throughout the stadium. We will
end or tour by stopping in Boruseeum, the museum of Borussia Dortmund, which is located
near the stadium.
FIRST FRIENDLY MATCH
We will play a Friendly Match against a local club or academy team. The team will meet and
compete against athletes of similar ages and skill levels, and have the opportunity to make
friends for life. (The teams you will play will be selected after time of booking and will be
based on the specific skill level and requirements of your team. We have contacts at every
level and take great pride in finding the perfect fit for each friendly match.)

DAY 4 Tuesday, 24 March 2020
This morning we will have breakfast at the hotel.
BORUSSIA DORTMUND TRAINING SESSION
We will participate in a training session with BVB Coaching Staff at the Borussia Dortmund
Training Facilities. Your training session will be based on the BVB youth academy concept of
enhancing technical skills and emphasis on team spirit and cooperation.
TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITY
You will gather as a group and participate in a Team Building Activity. Get to know others on
your team, enhance your skills and participate in specific BVB specific activities that you will
be sure to enjoy.
Today lunch is included in the VIP area at the stadium.
ATTEND A PROFESSIONAL MATCH
We will attend a professional soccer match featuring teams from the top leagues. Seeing the
top talent in the world in person would itself be an unforgettable experience, but add the
passionate crowds signing, cheering and chanting and you will enter an atmosphere that can
only be understood through personal experience. (Excel Programs will secure tickets for the
group after time of booking and upon release of the official schedule. Due to scheduling your
final itinerary may need to adjusted to accommodate attending a match.)

DAY 5 Wednesday, 25 March 2020
This morning we will have breakfast at the hotel.

We will participate in a training session with BVB Coaching Staff at the Borussia Dortmund
Training Facilities. Your training session will be based on the BVB youth academy concept of
enhancing technical skills and emphasis on team spirit and cooperation.

You will have some free time to relax in the hotel before our evening friendly.
GERMAN FOOTBALL MUSEUM
Visit the German Football Museum where the emotional history of Germany's football can be
experienced and where the joy of football is celebrated. Objects, graphics, sounds and films
will re-enact the magic of football in various exhibition sites. History is not told linearly, its
depiction rather orientates itself on phenomenon. The thematic variety of football and its
complex societal, social, cultural and economic effects are presented in an easily
comprehendible manner, making it a truly fascinating experience for the visitor. Multimedia
and interactive components enhance the experience.

DAY 8 Saturday, 28 March 2020

Today we will travel to Schalke 04 Academy.
FC SCHALKE 04
Take some time to get aquainted with FC Schalke 04. Schalke is a professional German
association football club. The "04" in the club's name derives from its formation in 1904.
Schalke has long been one of the most popular professional football teams and multi-sports
club in Germany, even though major successes have been rare since the club's heyday in the
1930s and early 1940s. Since 2001, Schalke's stadium is the Veltins-Arena. Schalke holds a
long-standing rivalry with Ruhr neighbours Borussia Dortmund, arguably one of the most
widespread and well-known rivalries in German football, and matches between the two
teams are referred to as the Revierderby.
Today we will eat lunch at the FC Schalke 04 Academy.
VELTINS ARENA STADIUM TOUR
You will have a guide for this superb behind the scenes tour. Experience seating in the
stadium, view the press club, and pretend to be a player as we walk through the dressing
rooms and down the player's tunnel.

THIRD FRIENDLY MATCH
We will play a Friendly Match against a local club or academy team. The team will meet and
compete against athletes of similar ages and skill levels, and have the opportunity to make

PRESENTATION OF MEDALS AND CERTIFICATES
After a fun-filled week of intense training sessions, sightseeing, team building and friendly
matched, players will be acknowledged for their hard work and enthusiasm during their time
at Borussia Dortmund Training Session.
On our final night we will enjoy a farewell dinner together.
DAY 9 Sunday, 29 March 2020
This morning we will have breakfast at the hotel.
Our rewarding and enjoyable tour comes to an end as our Tour Director accompanies us to
the airport on our final day.
