ORGANIZING COMMITEE AN RACE PRESENTATION The Monte Calamita, seat of the Capoliveri Bike Park, is one of the most fascinating places in the world ! These are not our words but this statement comes from Mr. Ned Overend (symbol of World MTB) who won the Grundig World Cup (the only stage in Italy at that time) on April 25, 1994 after an epic duel with Jonh Tomac, which took place in our village , Capoliveri - Island of Elba, in the Elbano promontory, at the first of a three-years period of the Italian Cup circuit at the beginning of the MTB in Italy. Just the old track of this wonderful event combined with more than 130 km of roads, muleteers, firebreaks and forest tracks, single track on the Capoliverese Promontory, thanks to the support of the Municipality of Capoliveri, which has always supported our initiative, the desire and the passion of a group of enthusiastic biking lovers, is born our Association named ASD Capoliveri Bike Park MTB Club Isola d’Elba and the Bike Park, whose purpose is the retrieval and maintenance of the existing paths on our territory and the organization of events related to the world of MTB. The Capoliveri Bike Park, was born with 5 permanent paths, interchangeable with each other, marked by appropriate wooden signs, with signs in the territory and maps, distinguished between denomination, colors and degrees of difficulty. Over the years is change integrating the various disciplines that this sport offers, from the cross country, as it was born, to paths that now are also for free ride, enduro and downhill, to continue to attract, as every year, thousands of Bikers from all over Italy and outside (mainly Europe), going to enhance the marvelous views of the slopes from east to west, overlooking the TUSCANY and CORSICA, in the National Park of the Tuscan Arcipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea, a real open-air gym for lovers of this sport. The creation of the Asd Capoliveri Bike Park at the end of 2009 is also the birth of the Capoliveri Legend Cup, MTB “Gran Fondo” competition, which became a Marathon in 2015, where the essence of Mtb in our land is valorised, for realy bikers. The growth of our event, which arrived in 2018 at the 9th edition, has made that, since 2016 the Capoliveri Legend Cup has become a stage of the international UCI Marathon Series circuit, allowing our race to become one of the most important race for professional athletes of the discipline, presenting to the start every year World Champions, European and other National Champions, making the quality of the race to the most important standards for our Organizing Committee, with pride for all our group of members and volunteers, that moved up the bar of our future projects. LOCATION Capoliveri, was a village of miners and today is a destination for international tourism. The pretty village, located in the hills and in the middle of a green peninsula, dominates the surrounding sea giving the opportunity to admire beautiful views. From here a big part of Elba Island, the Island of Montecristo, Pianosa, the Tuscan coast and even Corsica can be admired in all their beauty. It seems that you can touch them. Its beautiful square, a beautiful terrace and the illuminated bell tower in the background await you every evening. It's like being in a comfortable living room, being together at the tables of the outdoor bars, for an ice cream, for a simple walk or to admire one of the many events scheduled during the summer. The Capoliverese (so called the citizen of Capoliveri) has a proud history, (Capoliveri was the only village in Elba not to bow to Napoleon's wishes); a culture of its own. He often has a different accent from the other citizen of Elba despite the few kilometers that separate them and traditions still alive that have been handed down for generations. The Festa del Cavatore, the Grape Festival, the historical re-enactments like the Legend of Innamorata are followed every year by thousands of people and have become, thanks to the dedication of the local cultural associations and of the people themselves, real meetings with memories and the traditions of a past not far in time but very different from today's lifestyle. The Island of Elba is a land of traditions, enchanting scenery and lush nature. Equipped for demanding tourism but at the same time still protected and uncontaminated. An integral part of the National Park of the Tuscan Arcipelago, Elba has hundreds of beaches and small coves of rare beauty, many and varied that satisfy any desire for relaxation and fun. Its seabeds are a paradise for divers, its territory can easily be traveled by car, motorbike or public transport, but it is on foot, by bicycle or on horseback that you discover the "real nature" of Elba and the its "true nature", from the coasts up to the 1.019 meters of Monte Capanne (the highest peak). All the start procedures will be located close the Start/Finish in Loc. Vallone Alto (see Logistic Map).
All the riders must be in the call up boxes (close to the Start/Finish area) at least 15 min before the
official start.
The start list will be done following the last published UCI Ranking
The INTERNAZIONALI D’ITALIA XCO SERIES Leader MUST wear the Leader Jersey and will be called
in the first row.
REGISTRATION
REGISTRATION FEES
The regisration fee is € 15 for all the UCI categories (Elite M/W, Under 23 M/W e Junior M/W)
except for the Team UCI MTB ELITE.
Due to the Covid restrictions protocol, the registration fee must be paid by Bank Transfer at the
account A.S.D.CAPOLIVERI BIKE PARK MTB CLUB ISOLA D'ELBA – IBAN:
IT88A0637070660000010006222 and show the receipt at the registration.
A deposit of € 10 will be asked to ALL THE RIDERS and will get back at the end of the race returning
the chip at the Timing Company or at the registration desk.

The foreign teams can register their riders on the web site

CLIMBING FEED AND TECHNICAL ZONE Feeding and technical assistance is possible only in the Feed and Technical Zones. The access to the FTZ will be allowed only to people with Pass. Passes for the mechanical and feeding areas will be given to the teams during the riders registration. Those without passes will not be able to use the service and consequently will be excluded from the technical support area in accordance with UCI rules. There will be a “neutral assistance zone” provided by Shimano. The Feeding and Technical area will be confirmed by the PCP at the Team Manager Meeting after the course walk. START AND FINISH All the start and finish procedure will be held at Miniere Vallone – Loc. Vallone Alto (see logistic map) The start/finish line is located in front of the Team Area around 800 mt far from the secretary. The call up boxes are located near the start line OTHER INFORMATION PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS The Event Secretary will be available as in the Race program at Museo della Vecchia Officina – Loc. Miniera Capoliveri. Procedures to registration will take place at the same place as the event secretary. All riders, Team Managers and parents are asked, following the Covid protocol, to download the form at the link https://www.capoliverilegendcup.it/dichiarazione.pdf or, if family, https://www.capoliverilegendcup.it/autodichiarazioneaccompagnamento.pdf fill and present it at the registration TEAM MANAGER MEETING The TMM, due to the Covid restriction protocol, will be held on line and the link will be published on the organizers social page SHOWERS AND BIKE WASHING Showers service is at Stadio Comunale Ilse Loc. Vaccarelle Capoliveri that is located at 5,5 Km. far from the race field and a shuttle will be organised to reach the site. The shower service can be cancelled in case of new Covid restriction protocol The bike washing service will be at Museo Vecchia Officina – Loc. Miniera Capoliveri ANTI-DOPING The anti-doping station will be at Palazzo Comunale Viale Australia 1 Capoliveri located at 5,5 Km far from the race field. A shuttle will be organised from the race field to the Anti doping station. TEAM AREA The Team that want to book a space in the Team Area has to fill the form at the link: https://www.capoliverilegendcup.it/xco/areateam.asp and send an email to info@capoliverlegendcup.it with the space requested (mt x mt), the day and the approximate time of the arrival/departure in/from Capoliveri. We ask the Teams to take care of the space needed for only one car/van they want to park close to the Team Tent. All the other vehicles must be parked in the public parking. Only the accredited teams are allowed to enter the Team Area MEDICAL ASSISTANCE Medical Services will be provided by at least n. 2 ambulance with 2 auxiliary medical personnel, Race Doctor, off-road vehicles and Helicopter as in the Healthy plan approved by 118 and First Aid.
