                  CALL FOR PRESENTERS
                 REGION III CONFERENCE
                   JULY 22-25, 2020
“ALLYSHIP = COLLABORATION, COHESION, AND COMMITMENT”

Founded in 1968 by Russell Moore, the Ohio Chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
(OCRID) would like to invite you to participate in the 2020 Region III Conference.

The conference will be held July 22-25, 2020 in Columbus, OH.

OCRID has been given the amazing opportunity to host the Region III Conference this year, and
we are looking for interactive and motivated presenters! We are hoping to provide a variety of
topics to satisfy ALL interpreters.

We are also looking for a Keynote and/or Endnote presenter, preferably able to provide a cohesive
PPO workshop for a total of two hours (one hour each). The theme of the conference has not been
decided, and we are looking forward to the ideas gathered to help us formulate one!

We are looking for engaging presenters who are prepared to offer practice-based or theoretical,
interactive trainings. We envision that a great workshop will be:
facilitated in ASL with appropriate visual support for a signing environment
interactive and either practice-based or theoretical
applicable to all interpreters, regardless of work setting
presented in a unique layout, unlike the typical 2 or 3-hour, lecture-based approach

Presenter applications must include the following:
 1. Workshop description and length (we will offer both 2-hour and 3-hour workshops)
 2. Provide four to five learning objectives which will be used to qualify for CEUs
 3. Attached professional resume

Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Presenter applications are due by March 1, 2020 and should be sent to Moses McIntosh, at
programming@ocrid.org. All presenters will be notified by June 5, 2020 to allow for ample time
for CEU processing and preparation.
