There are so many questions at the heart of the libel claim brought by
Rebekah Vardy against Coleen Rooney. Did Vardy discuss with husband

As the final preparations are made for the women’s European
Championships in England this summer, the National Football Museum
has put together this five-part history of women’s football in this country.
We start with the career of Lily Parr, English women’s football’s first
proper star – and one with a legendarily vicious shot, which broke one
goalkeeper’s arm – and her all-conquering team Dick, Kerr’s Ladies, who
drew crowds of more than 50,000 in the 1920s.

Laura and her guests, singer songwriter Olivia Dean (Amazon Music's

Dirty Air is a new Formula 1 podcast featuring race obsessives and stand-
up comics Josh Weller and Alfie Brown. On every episode the pair spout
off with race predictions, recaps and spot-on impersonations of every
Austrian in the paddock. Most episodes are comedic takes on the most

Bike Riding Bank Robber // Part One // April 2022 39m
A cyclist who dreamed of Olympic glory before turning to bank heists
when he watched Heat. The perfect boyfriend who convinced his partner
he was a left wing protester but turned out to be an undercover cop. A
wheelchair athlete whose village gave up on her as a child. Mobeen
Azhar, Emily Webb and Jo Fidgen hear the stories of everyday people
you’d pass in the street whose lives have taken shocking, moving,
unexpected turns.

The Hollywood Ponzi Scheme // April 2022 43m
Wondery has a nice line in true crime and scammery podcasts – they
did Dirty John and Dr Death, after all – and now hosts Scaachi Koul and
Sarah Hagi unpack cautionary tales which show how the convergence
of social media and hucksterdom can destroy lives. We hear about the
teenager who pretended to be a doctor, a scam in the heart of LA and
the Fyre Festival of the ballet world. Stratospheric rises and abrupt,
                  crashing falls abound.

When X sees Lily on stage, he begins an imaginary affair of 13 years, and
counting. He’s crossed oceans, posed as her colleague and even bought

How did the deadliest serial killer in US history get away with murder
for over 40 years? Samuel Little was serving life in prison for killing
three women, when he began to confess to a string of murders. His
total murder count reached 93 victims across 19 US States. Journalist
Benjamin Zand leads an investigation that is both a true crime story and
a forensic examination of how US law enforcement failed to stop the
                  country’s most dangerous serial killer.

and totally shocking true crime cases in history. Together, with the

CHRIS HAWKINS
THE RADIO PRESENTER, DJ AND HOST OF HOW TO
DJ TELLS US ABOUT HIS CURRENT TOP 5 PODCASTS...

            1 ROCKONTEURS
The Wikipedia page for ‘musician’ literally has a photo of Guy Pratt to illustrate the
craft. Guy is a long-standing member of Pink Floyd and session player whose CV
is like a roll call of some of the greatest artists ever to grace a stage. The other half of this charmingly
disarming double act is Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp and together they have created an absolute gem.

2 FORTUNATELY... WITH FI & JANE
The feeling of eavesdropping on a conversation is key to podcast gold for me and
the eavesdroppery levels are off the scale with Fi Glover and Jane Garvey’s regular
gift to my ears. I’m genuinely excited when I receive a push notice of a new episode but I have to watch
where I listen as I’ve had too many odd looks as I laugh out loud while walking the dog - made even
more scary when it’s synchronised with me picking up his ‘processed breakfast’, if you get my drift.

           3 THE TWO SHOT PODCAST
A brilliantly simple premise, something shared by all the best podcasts. Craig
Parkinson sits down with a guest and they talk, about anything and everything.
Guests include lots of the great and the good, alongside unsung heroes, from the world of TV and
cinema but lots of other creative and interesting people from so many different backgrounds too. Oh,
and there are 200 episodes to delve into if this podcast has passed you by. One of my favourites.

           4 SONG EXPLODER
Hrishikesh Hirway manages effortlessly to perform the most crucial piece of podcast
magic - essentially becoming the listener themselves, transplanted into the studio
with some of the greatest creators of music of our times. That’s where we discover the alchemy, talent
and happenstance that go into making a hugely memorable track. Genuinely full of jaw dropping
moments behind some of the best songs ever. It’s like hearing tunes that you already know but in 3D. An
absolute treasure trove of past episodes is waiting for you.

           5 INSIDE INSIDE NO. 9
I’m totally in love with the show that inspired this podcast - the most creative TV
since, well, ever, harking back to classic TV like Tales Of The Unexpected and
Armchair Thriller. The actual show has more Easter eggs than you can shake a stick at, so this deep dive
into the making of each episode, by its creators Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton, is like a guided
tour of their brilliantly warped minds.
                                                                                                             // 19

Netflix v HBO to Nike v Adidas, focusing on the real stories of what
drives these companies and their leaders. In this first of six episodes
documenting the Pizza Hut v Domino’s story, host David Brown takes us
back to 1958, a time when, away from the buzz of New York and LA, pizza
was barely available. Cue two sets of siblings with grand plans to change
that, and one hell of a story about how they fought to outdo each other.

The many huge contributions of black women to pop music are the focus
of this one, where each time Danyel Smith dives deep into one story and
how it changed the music industry. It all opened with a look at Whitney’s
still astounding Super Bowl performance of The Star-Spangled Banner in

Hosts Cynthia Graber and Nicola Twilley examine how food has changed
over time with an emphasis on scientific innovations and forgotten histories
which have silently shaped what’s on our plates and in our cupboards
over the centuries. This one dishes up extinct delights like silphium, the
Romans’ favourite herb, and the Ansault pear, which was apparently the
single greatest pear ever developed. But this isn’t just about the past. It’s

Between 1996 and 2005, Arsenal and Manchester United played each
other 29 times. Each match bristled with a level of animosity rarely seen

Brian & Roger is a beautifully simple audio sitcom written and performed
by Toast Of London's Harry Peacock and Dan Skinner (Angelos
Epithemiou). Brian & Roger met at a support group for divorced men and
