Employment Support Team Update
Southampton City Council’s Employment Support Team are still working with clients
as usual, offering phone meetings, online communications and video conferencing
as options for clients wanting to receive support to look for work during this
challenging time. The projects are still receiving referrals through email and phone
calls. Details of all of our projects, contact details and referral forms can be found on

We remain person centred in our approach as much as possible, and are striving to
deliver a high level of support to those referring and accessing the service we are

DWP and The Adecco Group would like your support with the Census 2021 high-volume

This presents an exciting opportunity for candidates to be involved in the first ‘digital census’
in history. A wide range of temporary part-time and full-time roles will be available offering

PeoplePlus and Staffline have launched a new nationwide worker transition service as
part of the campaign to Feed the Nation during the Covid-19 crisis.
We are working together to move people who have been made redundant, are ‘at risk’ or in
the gig economy into the ‘essential services’ industries.
Many industries like travel and retail have been savagely hit by Covid-19. At the same time
many industries associated with food production, food supply, supermarkets and delivery
services are crying out for thousands of additional workers. It’s these food and produce
sectors which the government has now categorised as ‘essential services’ – because without
them we will see more of the alarming pictures we’ve all become used to on our TV screens
and social feeds, of empty supermarket shelves and massive queues for food and basic
supplies.
Working with our sister company, Staffline Recruitment and our combined partner
community – many of the UK’s leading supermarket retailers and food supply-chain
operators – we have created a nationwide ‘transition service’ for workers who have been
made redundant or ‘at risk’ or are on zero hours contracts or in the gig economy to enable as
many of them as possible to transition into jobs in these new ‘essential’ services on a direct-

For those who need further training to move into a different industry there are options of a
two-day ‘transition course’ or longer course of a week to two weeks, if they have been out of

Child & Adolescent Trauma Therapist – Frankie
As part of the No Limits Frankie Service for children and young people in Hampshire, the Child and
Adolescent Trauma Therapist will provide psychological support / therapeutic interventions with young
people aged 0-18 years who have been sexually abused, sexually exploited or experienced Female
Genital Mutilation (FGM).
The role represents the operational face of the service in a variety of community settings across
Hampshire and the post holder will be required to work with No Limits Project Manager and the
Hampshire County Council (HCC) Willow Team manager.

which flow from the No Limits ethos. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young
people is paramount.

Hours: 20 hours per week over 3 days with 28 days per annum annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)

on 37 hours FTE), equating to £14,049.19 p.a. starting salary for 20hrs.
This is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2021 with possibility of extension.

The role of the volunteer is to support vulnerable clients by making phone calls to check in on their
wellbeing. The service is open to adults in Southampton who may be disadvantaged by infirmity, learning
or physical difficulties, mental illness or social circumstances e.g. poverty, or may be isolated due to the
COVID-19 outbreak. Service users will receive calls according to their needs, from weekly through to
daily. The hours are flexible, Monday-Friday 9am-1pm. Volunteers should ideally be willing to sign up for
