TOUR OF IRELAND WITH ANDREW DADDO
                                  07- 17 July 2019
Day 1 – Sunday, 7th July 2019
Arrival Day - On arrival into Dublin, please make your own way to the hotel in Dublin The Jury’s Inn
Christchurch. Jurys Inn Dublin Christchurch is located opposite Christ Church Cathedral and close the
popular Temple Bar, where you’ll find some of the city’s very best food, drink and entertainment.
The city’s shopping area, Grafton Street, is only a 10 minute walk away from the hotel.
We will reserve a SINGLE or TWIN/DOUBLE room on your behalf

Tonight, we will attend a Welcome Dinner to meet your fellow tour participants.

Day 2 – Monday, 8th July 2019
After breakfast, we will transfer to the famed K Club (The Ryder Cup Course), home of the 2006
Ryder Cup, for Golf (approx. 30 mins drive). It charms, it entices and invariably, brings out the very
best in your game. It is unlikely that you will be asked to tackle the course from the championship
tees, but this should in no way diminish the excitement of pitting your wits against Arnold Palmer,
for, in a sense, this is precisely what you are about to do. Ranked regularly in the top 3 parkland golf
courses in Ireland, this Arnold Palmer designed golf haven is a must play ‘badge of honour’ that has
hosted the top golf players in the world. Apart from the Ryder Cup in 2006, K Club Ryder Cup course
has also hosted the 2016 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open where we saw Rory McIlroy’s European Tour
Shot of the Year and 11 European Opens testify the importance of The Ryder Cup Course to
European Golf. Tee Times: TBA

TOUR OF IRELAND WITH ANDREW DADDO - 07- 17 July 2019
After golf, you will be transferred back to the Jury’s Inn Christchurch and the rest of your afternoon
& evening is at your leisure.

Dublin is a glorious city to explore. Hop on one of the many open-topped buses to get around the
city with a witty commentary along the way. Stop off at the Guinness Storehouse (highly
recommended) and learn to pull a pint of the historic Irish Stout and enjoy it in the bar with a 360°
view of Dublin or head to the Old Jameson Distillery or any one of the many museums, galleries or
historic landmarks.

If Irish history interests you, why not visit historic sites such as Kilmainham Gaol (book your visit
time to avoid disappointment)orGlasnevin Cemetery. Have a photo taken with the statues of Oscar
Wilde or Molly Malone. Alternatively, if you have any Irish lineage, the new EPIC Museum is a
fascinating interactive museum about the emigration worldwide of the Irish. If you’re keen on
Gaelic sports, a tour of Croke Park & the GAA Museum could be of interest. Plenty to keep you busy
in addition to the must-visit of the Guinness Storehouse.

For dinner, we do recommend that you try Dublin’s oldest pub, The Brazen Head which dates back
to 1198 and is approximately a 5 minute walk from your hotel or there are any number of pubs with
lively music along Temple Bar.

Druids Glen hosted the Irish Open for four years in a row. Colin Montgomerie won two years
running, followed by David Carter and Sergio Garcia, shooting a 64 in the final round. Druids Glen
has hosted the prestigious Seve Trophy, a bi-annual event between the leading Tour Players of
Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe. (approx. 45mins drive). Tee Time: TBA

After golf you will be transferred back to Jury’s Inn Christchurch Hotel. The rest of the afternoon is

Day 4 – Wednesday, 10th July 2019
After breakfast, you will check out of your Dublin hotel and we will head west to Lahinch (approx.

with an atmosphere and energy that’s all its own. It nestles at the head of Liscannor Bay, beside a 2
km long beach of golden sands. The shape of the resort creates Atlantic breakers that attract surfing
and canoeing enthusiasts from all over the world and Lahinch has earned a reputation as a top ‘surf
centre’ – with surf schools, social life and great atmosphere to boot. We will be staying in Vaughan
Lodge which is an intimate, 4-star modern designer town house family run hotel with a refined

Andrews of Ireland”, this 125 year old golf club is a world class golf course. It is renowned for the
way the links has retained its old virtues but benefitted from the wiliness, over the decades, to move
with the times and now regarded as one of the best and most enjoyable challenges to found
anywhere in the golfing world. Tee time: TBA

After golf, we will transfer you back to the hotel (approx. 5mins drive) (or you can walk the easy

visit The Burren (approx. 15mins drive) and the Cliffs of Moher (approx. 15mins drive) today.
Depending on the weather, will depend on which direction you will head as you want a fairly clear
day for the Cliffs of Moher (cloudy is ok but not misty). The Burren means ‘the great rock’ and this
moonscape of karst limestone is a World Heritage Site. Between the cracked limestone that
stretches over 250km, you'll find megalithic tombs older than Egypt’s pyramids as well as abundant
flora and fauna. Burren National Park is a place of tranquility and quiet. There are five marked

walking trails in the Park that take you through many different fascinating and beautiful habitats,

Way.
After a walk along the cliffs, and if you are lucky to encounter a puffin colony from the South
Platform that make their home on Goat Island, you may also see many other seabirds. The views are
incredible from O’Brien’s Tower to Hags Head and from the Main Platform to the elevated location
of The North Platform.

Farms sits in the park. The hop-on/hop-off bus tour takes in all of Killarney’s most treasured
landmarks: from the breathtaking panoramic views of the lakes and mountains in Aghadoe to Ross
Castle on the banks of Lough Leane, from the majestic Muckross House and Gardens to the glorious

join in the optional tour today that will take the day to drive around the Ring of Kerry. This is some
of the most beautiful scenery you will find in Ireland. There are so many places to stop and see
along the way. From the dramatic cliffs top views at Glenbeigh, down the coast to the car ferry

Slate Quarry & Grotto, before heading back to the mainland via Ballinskelligs and stop off in

major championship event in 1937 and that nature herself could not be surpassed. That’s the
essence of Ballybunion. It is elemental, natural golf amid dunes beside the ocean where all of the
battles are God-made challenges with nature.
