Arts Commons has been a provider of arts based professional development for over a decade. Whether you
are an elementary generalist looking for new ways to activate learning through the arts, or a specialist
teaching the visual and performing arts at the Jr. High and High School level, we hope you will join us for

This course features an introduction to lighting, lens,
metering, camera operations, and post production. The goal
is to present effective and simple solutions to the challenges
of photographing situations in a classroom setting. We will
be coming with a complete studio location kit and do a live

They have a wide repertoire of work ranging from the oil sands to the dance studios. Verna Vogel Verna studied Fine Arts Foundation at Capilano University, Vancouver BC. She then received an international study grant to attend the Malaysian Institute of Art in Kuala Lumpur for one year, where she focussed on Chinese ink painting and Asian cultural studies, earning a Fine Art Year 3 certificate. Verna currently maintains an active studio practice in Calgary AB, where she finds inspiration through materials and processes, applying a high degree of craftsmanship to create 2D pictures and 3D art installations. Verna’s work
