Week 1
                      Going to the Zoo:

                       Animals Around the World

                      7.7 – 9.7. 2021
During this week, we will learn all about different
animals and where in the world they live. Each day the
children will learn about different animals, where in the
world they live, and some interesting facts about them.
They will be learning a song all week, which we will sing
in the morning circle and before transition times.

We will talk about what part of the world we’re in that
day and what animals we can find there. First, kids will
be shown a picture of that continent. Then, there will be
a box filled with the animals we would find there.
As a “warm up”, the teacher will make
different animal noises to give the kids
clues of what animals we may be
learning about. The kids will guess and
then we will take that animal out of the
box until we have all of them.

Movement will be a big emphasis for this
week, and we will pair each animal with a
different movement so kids can be engaged +
associate their learning in a fun, interactive way.

Day 1, Wednesday
            African Animals

The Children will learn about the cute gorillas,
zebras, giraffes, and brave lions, our kings of
the jungle.
                        Craft:
Kids will cut out shapes of the
different animals and then create the
pattern of that animal. For example,
they will flick black paint to create
zebras, finger paint spots to make a
giraffe, and fork paint to create lion
                        fur, etc.
Outside we will look at pictures
                                         of different animal footprints. We
                                         will then draw footprint trails
                                         around the preschool and then
we will try to follow these trails
to see where they will take us.
                              Games:
We will play a game “run like a _____”
where teacher holds up a card or rolls a
dice with different animals on each side,
kids have to run around and act like the
animal in the picture. We will also
practice animal yoga poses. Maybe we
can try to make some animal poses of
                              our own.

Day 2, Thursday
Europe, the Arctic, and the Nordic Animals
Today we will explore the different habitats of
Europe, the Arctic and Antarctica. Through short
stories we will learn which animals live there, what
do they eat, and how do they move.

Games and craft projects: Let’s play animal
pantomime. Guess which animal am I presenting.
Next, we will practice our animal yoga routine
with the help of video Trip to the ZOO – yoga
with Artánek and we will also make a Monkey
trail to test our skills. When we get tired from all
of the exercise it will be time to sit at the table
and make our own animal pairs game.
Wonderland Preschool Summer Program 2021
Day 3, Friday
                      Hurray to Nature

In the morning we will turn into true explorers and
venture to the Vestec pond. Like a true explorer,
we will study the fauna and flora that we
encounter along the way. Don’t forget to take a
magnifying glass with you to help you find even
the smallest creatures from the animal kingdom.
However, we will not forget to play on the natural
playground next to the pond.

In the afternoon we will have a
little rest and make paper animal
masks. Before we go home, we
will announce the winner of a Best
                               Animal Mask Competition.

Week 2:
(The Adventure of Cat and Dog)

               12.7 – 16.7.2021

This week we will look into the amazing world of
Karel Čapek's dog and cat. These two unusual
friends experience many adventures together as
they try to live like us humans. Every day after
lunch we will read one of their stories.
Wonderland Preschool Summer Program 2021
Day 1 Monday
Hello to Doggie and Pussycat

Today we will meet the dog and
the cat. The books are wonderful
  and contain many wonderful
stories. First, we will look at the
cover of the book, the pictures
inside and also who wrote and
illustrated the book. The story of
How It Was at Christmas will
help us find out who the author
and illustrator really are. We will
make paper masks of the dog
and cat from paper plates and
we will of course not forget to
play as well. After all, cats
and dogs love to do that.

  In the afternoon we
  will make our own books
  with the help of crayons,
  pictures from magazines
  and stamps. We will play
  the game Dog, Dog, Cat
  and learn the song Cat
  and a dog.
Wonderland Preschool Summer Program 2021
Day 2 Tuesday
                          The Trip

         (Due to the Pandemic Situation)
We will head to the dendrological garden of Průhonice.

The story of how the dog tore his pants starts like this: It was
a beautiful Sunday and the dog, and the cat went for a walk.
It's only Tuesday, but that won't stop us.

We will go on a trip to the Dendrological Garden in Průhonice.
Hopefully we won't tear our pants like a dog along the way. We
will explore the garden and play in the pirate playground.

Do you know how the cat repaired the dog's pants? No? We'll find
out after lunch. We will also make a color patch for dog pants.
Wonderland Preschool Summer Program 2021
Day 3 Wednesday
How a Doggie and a Pussycat Baked a Cake

We all probably know the story of how a dog and a cat
baked a cake. They didn't do exactly twice. We will try it too
and I will certainly do better. We will make a chocolate
cupcake with vanilla cream and colorful decorations. We
will not forget to add a picture of a dog and a cat on top.
Here is a recipe for our goodness:

Day 4 Thursday
About a Doll That Cried Very Quietly

In this fairy tale, a dog and a cat find a lost doll and take it
home. They want to cheer her up and bring her many toys
that the children have lost outside. They are
playing beautifully with the doll. Everyone
loves games and toys. I bet you do too.
Did you know that toys can also be
made from things we have at home?
We will show you how and everyone
will make a toy today, which they will
be able to take home. Maybe we can
make a ball bouncing into a cup, or a toy
car from a roll of toilet paper. For outside
play, we prepare skittles from plastic bottles.
Day 5 Friday
How Doggie and Pussycat Washed Their Floor

On our last day we will have fun with science. How does
science go together with washing the floor. It does of
course. Come and find out. Doggie has a rough coat and
Pussycat soft. Which coat do you think soaks up more
water and is better for drying up the floor? We will find out
in our soak and wring experiment. And now to the soap.
Did you ever make bubbly soap without using water?

We will show you how. Making bubbles
with soap is fun and we will try this too.
We will even make pictures with
colourful bubbles. Can you walk on
                       Water?

Day 2 Tuesday
                     Formula 1

We will learn about Formula 1, and
some of the cars that are found in the
sport. A lot of the children love cars, and
trucks, but race cars seem to be the top
choice for many at the preschool. What
is Formula 1? Have you watched it? Are
 they driving cars, or trucks?

Game: A race track will be set up in
the yard, and children will race

Craft: Race Car Craft
Day 3 Wednesday
            Trip to Vestec Park

 (Due to the Pandemic Situation)
This is a short walk from the school but has a
lot of space to play different sports, or
jumping/climbing on the playing equipment. It
has a lot of shade, and I believe there is even
a sprinkler that is turned on during summer.
(We will stay there at least until lunch, if not a
  little bit longer)

* All children should be provided with swimsuits, a
towel, sunscreen, water, and a snack. We hope the
small/drink stall in the park will be in operation, so
if the children want to buy something, please
provide your child with some pocket money.
Day 4 Thursday
                       Basketball
Basketball is one of the most popular sports in
the world. The children will get a chance to
become familiar with the sport, and even get a
chance to practice their skills. How many
players are on a team? Have you ever played
basketball? What equipment do you need in
          order to play?

Game: Children will work on their
dribbling skills, and work their way
around a line of cones, in a relay race
style. Once a team completes the relay
race, everyone must make a shot on the
basketball hoop, in order for the game to
                        end.

* In the afternoon, kids will play a basketball themed carnival
game. If they manage to make a shot, they will win a small prize.

         Craft: Paper Mache Basketball
Day 5 Friday
                        Volleyball
Volleyball is a very difficult sport to master, but with a small
introduction, the children will become experts in the sport.
They will even have an opportunity to test their skills in the
garden. Where can you play volleyball? Is it a winter or
summer sport? What do you have to get the ball over, in
     order to get a point?

                                             Game: Kids will play an
                                             easier form of volleyball in
                                             the garden. They will be
                                             split into teams, and must
                                             work together, in order to
get the ball over the net,
                                             and into their opponents’
                                             side of the court.

* In the afternoon, children will play
volleyball, but using water balloons,
the team who manages to throw the

Week 6:
                Art Week

                9.8 – 13.8.2021

It is time for the children to become artists! Welcome
to Art Week! We will grab our palettes, aprons,
paints, and paintbrushes and get to work! The
children will have the unique opportunity to express
their creativity and create to their heart’s desire. We
cannot wait to give the children a whole week to let
their imaginations run wild as they explore the many
different art styles and techniques. By the end of the
week, the children will unlock their true artistic
potential.
Day 1 Monday

On our very first day, we want to give the children an
introduction to all art techniques. We will present art
styles such as crayon drawing, watercolor painting, and
abstract painting through the use of unusual materials. But
of course, we want the children to have fun while they
learn! Therefore, this day will include lots of movement
and hands-on learning, including a color wheel game,
a "color Twister" dye game, a shaving cream and
painting sensory game, and gathering time
outside to collect natural materials that will be
              used the very next day.
Day 2 Tuesday

Our second day is all about working with natural
materials. We will imitate the wind by blowing colors
through a straw, match natural materials to a color wheel,
and create our very own 3D collage as we listen to the
nature sounds around us. We are very excited for the
children to see that they can create beautiful artwork using
the world around them while enjoying the bright, sunny
weather of the summer at the same time.
Day 3 Wednesday
Trip to the Farma Park Soběhrady
     (Due to the Pandemic Situation)
At the Farm Park, the children will be able to enjoy
animals from all over the world. They will see camels,
kangaroos, ostriches, buffaloes, llamas, piglets, alpine
cows, and almost 250 other animals walking around. They
will be in direct contact with the animals and can even pet
or feed them. The park has lots of attractions for children,
including a jeep farm, floating rings, a tubing track, large
trampolines, slides, swings, climbing frames, water games,
a train, a rope center, a lookout tower with kangaroos,
children's tractors and bags, an indoor heated playground,
and much more. https://www.farmapark.eu/

After returning from a fun-filled day, the children will use
the park as inspiration to create art! They will remember
the sounds, colors, smells, feelings, sights, and tastes of
the day so that they can perfectly memorialize it down on
paper.
Day 4 Thursday
                Movement Day

Who knew that art could also include
physical movement? This day we will enjoy
moving our bodies while we continue to
stretch our creative minds. This day will be
all about singing songs, playing
instruments, enjoying our colored
parachute, playing games as a team, and
last but not least, creating a balloon out of
colored paper and newspapers that will fly
high up into the sky!
Day 5 Friday

Unfortunately, it is our last day. However,
we will create works of art that last a
lifetime! We will commemorate our fun
memories by making friendship bracelets
and handprint collages. Most importantly,
we will exercise the most valuable
developmental skill, our fine motor skills,
through the practice of drawing shapes.
Week 7:
           Disney Week

           16.8 – 20.8.2021

During this week, the children will fully
immerse themselves in the fairy tale world
of all their little heroes. The children will
get acquainted with the fairy tale Frozen,
Paw Patrol, Mickey and Minnie and Smurfs.
Throughout the whole week, there will be a
box in the cubby in which children can write
or paint anything on and we will explore it
all together on the last day.

                   Poem:
                 Let it go!
           I’m a Little Snowman
              Fairy Tale Song
               Popcorn poem
Day 1 Monday
                  Frozen

First, we sing with the children and dance to the
song Let it go.

Then the children will be able to choose between
making the crown Elsa or Olaf. As an afternoon
activity, we will draw a beautiful snowflake with
the help of a skewer, which will symbolize our fairy
tale Frozen, but its background will be colourful,
and so it will also symbolize our beautiful and
sunny days in preschool.
Day 2 Tuesday
           Paw Patrol
We will make Paw Patrol badges using colored
        laces and papers.

In the afternoon we will make bracelets with a
paw, which the children will put on, and outside
we will all play a game of rescuers together.

The game consists in each
child wearing a bracelet
and trying to find hidden
animals hidden throughout
the garden. At the end,
everyone will receive a
diploma for a job
beautifully done.
Day 3 Wednesday
         Trip to Dobříš Castle
   (Due to the Pandemic Situation)

A trip to Dobříš Castle, where we will get acquainted
with the beautiful castle and the toy museum: The
newly opened exhibition presents a unique collection
of toys – dolls, accessories and houses for dolls, teddy
bears, toy cars etc

Before we leave, we will enjoy the amazing French
style park, where we can have a picnic.
Day 4 Thursday
         Mickey and Minnie
Kids will make a frame from the fairy
tale Mickey and Minnie. Which at the
end of the week they get with a
     beautiful photograph. In the afternoon,
we will make Mickey and Minnie's head
using plates and coloured papers. We
     will practice fine motor skills.

In case of the bad weather: Watching the Troll movie.

Popcorn and comfortable seating will be prepared for
children.
Day 5 Friday
                 The Smurfs
First, we look at the part of the Smurfs, during
which we learn what the Olympics with Smurfs
look like. Then the children paint their faces blue
and together we all make a white hat, just like the
Smurfs have. Outdoor entertainment will be
prepared for them as a morning activity.

                                 An obstacle course will be
                                 prepared in the garden for
                                 Daddy Smurf and Smurfette.
                                 Children can look forward to
                                 climbing, throwing a smurf
                                 ball (blue ball), and smurf
                                 running. Everyone will then
                                 receive a beautiful smurf
                                 medal as a reward

As an afternoon activity, we
will draw a large Smurf with
the help of a chalk, and then,
we will paint it together.
