Description
Ireland might be famous for making their Guinness, but
they are also one of top manufactures in the world for
farm machinery. Our tour of Ireland will visit the McHale
factory near Galway. McHale farm machinery is one of
the leading agriculture dealers in Ireland, providing
quality tractors and farm machinery to meet the demands of agricultural contractors. McHale is a
family run business, which was established by brothers Padraig and Martin McHale. Over the last
30 years they have developed a range of specialist farm machinery focusing on balers and bale
wrappers for the production of round and square baled silage, and round bales of hay and straw.
Day One We Leave Midway at 11.15pm on Sunday night and make our way to Fishguard for our
crossing to Rosslare in Ireland. On our morning arrival in Ireland we start our way towards
Galway, stopping for breakfast and lunch en-route before our arrival at our hotel in Galway.
Day Two We make our way to the McHale factory in Ballinrobe. As ever, we will be welcomed with
open arms to the factory and will be taken through the build process of these iconic green
machines. Over 90% of McHale machines produced are destined for the export market.
McHale balers and bale wrappers can be seen working in over 50 countries around the
world. After lunch at the factory it’s time to bid farewell to McHale and make our way back
to Killkenny, where a three course evening meal awaits us.
Day Three After a full Irish breakfast we make our way to Smyth Trailers based in Carlow; a leading
manufacturer and provider of trailers. The company was first established by brothers
Sam and Clive Smyth. Today, a highly-skilled team of designers, fabricators, welders and
finishers provide clients with long-lasting, robust and in many cases, bespoke solutions for
their trailer requirements. After a tour around the factory we will stop for lunch at a local
restaurant, before we continue to our next factory - Keenan, specialising in feeder wagons.
Keenan’s story goes back to the 1960s, with the start of the development of the Keenan
mixer wagon by farmer, engineer and innovator, Richard Keenan, a “reliable machine
capable of handling the toughest feeding ingredients.” After a visit to the Keenan factory
we start our way back to Rosslare stopping for food on the way to the boat. We hope to
arrive home in Crymych at around 11pm.

Join us on our Warners luxury break to Herefordshire.
Our base at the Warners Holme Lacy House Hotel is
a Grade I listed mansion and was completed in 1674
and was reportedly visited by Charles II. Set in 50
acres of gardens in the Wye Valley, Holme Lacy is one
of Herefordshire’s treasures and we’re sure it won’t
disappoint. This holiday will see us roaming around the
Black and White Trail and the wonderful Malvern Hills, as
 well as visiting Hereford City.
Day One We depart Crymych and make our way to
The Holme Lacy House Hotel, with comfort
stops on the way to keep us relaxed.
Day Two After a hearty breakfast we take you on a tour of the Best of The Black-and-White trail.
As the name suggests, it’s characterised by the large number of timbered and
half-timbered houses in the area, some dating from mediaeval times. This trail is a 40-mile
journey around Herefordshires Villages, including Eardisland - Award-winning
“Prettiest Village”, Weobley, and Pembridge. As wel as these, we will visit Kinnersley,
Sarnesfield, Lyonshall and Kingsland - and, of course, the two market towns of Kington and
Leominster – to give you the key elements of the now famous Black and White Village Trail.
Day Three Today we make the short distance to enjoy a half day trip in Hereford City. Relax in a coffee
shop, stroll around the traffic-free city centre, top-up your cultural habit at the Cathedral –
all just a short stroll from each other. This afternoon we make our way back to the Holme
Lacy for you to enjoy the many activities that the Warner team has to offer.
Day Four After breakfast we make our way east to Great Malvern. The delight of Great Malvern today
is still its unspoilt beauty, with a glimpse of the past Victorian era, including its many still-
working gas lamps, stunning views of the Severn Valley and wonderful shops and cafes.

                                                                         Hotel

Make it a long weekend to remember as Wales travel
to Ireland for the all-important clash at the Aviva
Stadium. With this break, enjoy the buzz of the rugby
as well as seeing some of what Ireland has to offer.
Day One Leave Crymych at 11.30 to catch the
afternoon ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare. We will be arriving in Ireland at approximately
16.30. We will then travel up to the hotel in Enniscorthy. Here, we enjoy a 3-night stay on a
bed, breakfast and evening meal basis.
Day Two Today we will take an adventure to the medieval town of Kilkenny. You could have a look
at the grand castle that was built by Norman occupiers in 1195, or take a stroll around St
Canice’s impressive Cathedral and Black Abbey Dominican priory. Another option is to soak
up the atmosphere in the many bars and restaurants that are on offer.
Day Three Today is the big day. After a leisurely breakfast, we work our way up to Dublin to watch the
all-important game between Ireland and Wales. If you’re lucky enough to get tickets, you will
get dropped off near the stadium. But if not, don’t worry, the atmosphere in the pubs and
          bars will be electric.
Day Four This morning will be at your leisure in Enniscorthy, before we make our way to Wexford for
a few hours before catching the 18.10 ferry back to Fishguard, where we hope to arrive at
           21.30.

Discover the Italian Riviera, or the ‘Riviera of Flowers’ on
this spectacular holiday, which offers many vistas, from the
green hills of the inland valleys to historic hilltop villages and
beautiful sandy beaches. Our hotel is located near the French/
Italian border, making it the ideal base for a day trip to the

            overnight in Arras, France.
Day Two After Breakfast we make our way south calling at the champagne factory in Mercier where we will visit
the champagne cellars in Epernay. We will descend 30 metres underground and board a small train that
will take us on a trip through part of the 18km long cellars. Once we return to the surface we can enjoy a

Delightful County Durham
   and Bewildering Beamish

Monday 21st to Friday 25th May, 2018

Description
With its iconic cathedral and castle, Durham City is the jewel in the crown of an extraordinary county.
The quaint, old English University city offers relaxing riverside walks, galleries and museums and an
array of shops and markets. The Durham Dales and Vale of Durham are diverse landscapes, dotted
with market towns and picturesque villages. To the coast, and dominated by the beautiful 13th
century Abbey, Whitby is a traditional maritime town with old cobbled streets, picturesque houses
and sandy blue flag beaches.
Day One We depart Pembrokeshire and make our way towards the North-East with comfort stops
              en-route.
Day Two We visit a very special place today; Beamish, The Living Museum of the North, a living,
working museum, set in 300 acres of beautiful Durham countryside. Trams rattle along the
cobbled streets and costumed folk bring to life how things were in North-East England
in the 1820s,1910s and 1940s. But, the things that make Beamish rather special are the
historic buildings. They’re not replicas, but have been brought, brick by brick, from around
the region and rebuilt to give visitors a real sense of history.
Day Three Enjoy a full day at your leisure, in Durham. This University city is home to one of the most
beautiful buildings in Britain and an icon for the north east – Durham Cathedral. This
ancient Cathedral has stood on the same spot for over 900 years and holds the remains of

example of three eras of English domestic architecture; Medieval, Jacobean and Georgian.
The stunning gardens all have their own special history and their own personalities.
Day Four This morning we will make our way to Cragside House & Gardens, former home of the
famous inventor, Lord Armstrong. In 1878, Cragside was the first house in the world to
be lit by hydro-electricity and it is crammed full of ingenious gadgets – most of them still
working – as well as an eccentric collection of British art, furniture, ceramics and natural
history. Meanwhile, outside the house, one of the largest rock gardens in Europe leads
down to the Iron Bridge, which in turn leads to the formal garden which we can enjoy or,
alternatively, we can simply relax in the tearoom. In the afternoon we make our way to
Hexham for a well-deserved brew, stopping at Hedrians Wall for a quick photograph en-

Description
The First World War finally came to an end at eleven o’clock on the morning of November 11th 1918.
One hundred years after the end of the Great War, our commemorative tour explores the poignant
battlefield sites, museums and memorials dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives in Flanders
Fields.
Day One We travel to Dover for the short ferry crossing to Calais. Once there, we will travel onto the
beautiful city of Ypres where we will stay in the Novotel Central for 4 nights.
Day Two This morning, we embark upon a tour of the wartime sights surrounding Ypres itself. Our
first stop is the largest and most famous of the British and Commonwealth Cemeteries, Tyne
Cot only a short distance away from the hotel. We then continue onto the Welsh memorial,
unveiled in August 2014 to commemorate the services of men and women from Wales.
We continue our Flanders tour by visiting Artillery Wood, the memorial ground of welsh
language poet Hedd Wyn who was killed
near Ypres, Belgium, during the Battle
of Passchendaele in World War I. He was
posthumously awarded the bard’s chair at
           the 1917 National Eisteddfod.
Day Three Today is your free day in Ypres, you might
like to visit the excellent ‘In Flanders
Fields’ Museum, located in the Cloth Hall.
This moving museum now makes use of
the latest technology in its portrayal of
the history of the Great War. In 2018 the
museum will feature a new exhibition
on the Final Offensive. Or just explore

Description
Join us on this idyllic holiday to Holland for one of the most fascinating events in the Dutch calendar;
the Zudert Flower Parade. Scores of volunteers bundle their efforts to build the most dazzling floral
floats full of gorgeous dahlias to participate in Europe’s largest Flower Parade. If you’ve got a soft
spot for flowers, this is one event you do not want to miss. We will also take time roaming around
some of Holland’s most picturesque villages, towns and cities and getting a feel for some of the
Dutch traditions.
Day One We depart Crymych this morning and make our way to Harwich, to board our overnight
ferry to Hook of Holland. En-route to Harwich we will stop for comfort stops and for an
evening meal before our 11pm ferry departure. (Evening meal is not included).
Day Two Good morning Holland! After our arrival at 8am we make our way to the Netherlands Open
Air Museum with over 80 historic houses, farmhouses and mills. A 1 hour guided tour really
brings the history and culture of the Netherlands to life! We can meet friendly farmers, the
blacksmith, fisherman and miller and travel on an historic tram around the park. After a
wonderful introduction to Holland’s past, we make the short journey to our hotel.
Day Three After breakfast we make our way to Enkhuizen where we will take the wonderful coastal
cruise to Medemblik. Once we have arrived here, we will board the Steamtram. From the
wooden 3rd class seats in your carriage you will experience a story from a different era.
Between the historic “Zuiderzee” towns of Hoorn , Medemblik and Enkhuizen steamtrams
meander from village to village across the Westfrisian countryside and an old-fashioned
steamer. After this wonderful morning of travelling through some of Hollands calm
countryside, we make our way to the traditional fishing village of Volendam. This delightful
village really is a picture of Holland as it used to be centuries ago. It retains much of its
old-world charm and it is not hard to imagine the hardworking fishermen returning with
the morning’s catch and the women sat repairing their nets in front of the rows of quaint
wooden cottages lining the picturesque waterfront. The villagers are renowned for still
wearing traditional Dutch dress, including the ladies’ white pinafores and curved bonnets,
and you may catch a glimpse of them arm in arm, during an enjoyable stroll around the
Doolhoof – the maze of tiny, narrow alleys and confusing jumble of houses nestling safely
              behind the waterfront dyke.
