Principle 1
We will embed in our decision-making environmental, social and
governance (ESG) issues relevant to our insurance business.

QBE’s 2018 Sustainability Report (the Report) provides an overview of our approach to sustainability, including our sustainability
framework, governance and management, ongoing stakeholder engagement, memberships and industry collaboration,
materiality, and our role in helping achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

A focus on sustainability is essential to our ability to deliver on our purpose, and our work in this area is underpinned by
a refreshed Sustainability Framework described on the following page. This Framework will assist us to further integrate
sustainability across our international business and our decision-making processes.

     Sustainable Development Goals
We believe in, and support, the aims and objectives of the United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which arose through collaboration
between governments, civil society, the private sector and academia.
The SDGs seek to address the world’s most pressing environmental
