and newly qualified supply teachers who have not completed statutory induction

The statutory induction process - an overview of
the year ahead.
Professional relationships and roles within the induction process.
The Induction Profile and online Pebble Pad Tool - EWC
The Professional Standards for Teachers
Reflective practice and professional growth.
Reflective practice and writing experience templates against the professional standards.
Format of the Programme
Training event focused upon developing shared understanding
It is essential that participants bring an electronic device to the training.
Delegates will need to ensure that they have appropriate access to the EWC website.

induction in the school.

All course delegates will receive a copy of Mike Hughes’s book, ‘The Magenta Principles’.
Mike Hughes
Mike Hughes is the author of Tweak to Transform and The Magenta Principles and is a nationally recognised
trainer.
He has taught in secondary schools for 18 years and worked most recently as a secondary Headteacher.
During that time, he also worked in an advisory capacity for Gloucestershire LEA and as a PGCE course
leader. He is an OFSTED trained inspector and a facilitator on the New Visions programme for recently
appointed head teachers. He now works with a wide variety of schools and organisations – from Nursery to
Tertiary – to help enhance learning in the classroom.
