A selection of dessert hors-d’oeuvres will be served during the cocktail portion of
the evening.

If you are a qualifying team, please complete the All Canadian Awards
Ceremony section on the attached “qualifying team information
document”. 25 tickets will be offered to the team at a cost of $35; 20 for the
team and 5 for VIP. Additional tickets are available for $ 40. Your institution
will be invoiced after the championship for the number of tickets
requested. Additional tickets will be limited.

If you are looking to purchase an individual ticket, please send your
request by email to Bianca Lapensee at blapense@uottawa.ca. You must
R.S.V.P. by March 2nd, noon EST.

Non-participating All-Canadians and major award nominees will receive a
free ticket to the event. Please confirm your athletes attendance by

D. 3-POINT SHOOTING CONTEST

We are looking for the best 3-point shooter in Ottawa! We encourage high schools to
send their best shooters to play in the play-in round on Wednesday March 4. Final two

As part of this reception, the Organizing Committee is pleased to host a panel
discussion on “How the game of basketball has changed”. Special guests from
USport, Canada Basketball along with current and former university personnel,
will make up the panelist.

H. OPENING CEREMONIES
Date: Thursday, March 5th

Attendance: Representatives from each team.

A 10-15 minute opening ceremony will be held on Thursday, March 5th between
the 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm women’s quarter-final games. We ask each of the 16
teams (both men’s and women’s) to have 5 representatives available for the
ceremony (preferably players). Also each team is to supply an extra team jersey
for a youth basketball player to wear during the ceremony (jerseys will be
returned). Team representatives, wearing their jerseys, should be at TD Place
no later than 19H15. More details on the ceremony will be provided at the
Technical Meeting.

is now open.
To help us prepare for your visit, please fill out the form at the link below to

The deadline to apply for media credentials is Tuesday, March 4.
Details regarding the status of your request, as well as a calendar of media
opportunities and other competition information, will be communicated to you in
the days leading up to the event.

at TD Place and Carleton Ravens’ Nest), as well as a fully stocked media centre
(TD Place) and transportation between competition venues (subject to

 5.    TRANSPORTATION

       A. TRAVEL TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Teams are required to book their own transportation. Please reference the information
below.

Teams and Delegates are asked to complete the attached Qualifying Team
Information Form in order to provide travel details. Deadline for
submission of the form is March 2nd noon EST. Form must be returned to
Richard Verreault at rverreau@uottawa.ca.

       B. ON-SITE TRANSPORTATION

Other transportation

There will be a shuttle service provided for VIPs, U SPORTS Delegates,
Directors, Administrators to/from the airport and to/from the host hotel to the
competitive venues. Shuttle times from the hotel to the venues will be posted at
the host hotel. Airport pick up are available but must be requested 48hrs in
advance by contacting Richard Verreault at rverreau@uottawa.ca.

 6.    TEAM REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION
       A. TEAM ACCREDITATIONS

There will be a maximum of 30-accreditation passes available per team. Five of
those accreditations will be for VIP’s. VIP’s will receive access to the VIP section
and a seat in the arena bowl. Anyone who is accredited without access to the
bench or VIP area will receive a ticket in their team section during their games.
Reminder, only 20-players and/or staff are allowed on the team bench at a time.
Please indicate who will receive bench access or VIP access on the attached
accreditation list. If a team requires more than 30-passes they will need to
purchase a tournament pass.

      B. ACCREDITATION PICK-UP

Accreditation will be available for pick up from the technical desk located in the
lobby of the host hotel starting on March 3nd, 2020.

Teams and delegates are requested to complete the attached team information
form to provide details on accreditation. The deadline for submitting the form is
March 2 at noon EST. The form must be returned to Richard Verreault at
rverreau@uottawa.ca.

      C. NON-PARTICIPATING ACCREDITATIONS

Non-participating coaches will be contacted by a U SPORTS (Jenna Blackburn
jblackburn@usports.ca) representative to gather your information and travel
details. Accreditation will be available for pick up at the host hotel. Non-
participating coaches accreditation will grand you access to all the games (ticket)
as well as access to the VIP area in both venues.

 7.   TEAM SERVICES
      A. TEAM HOST

A U SPORTS Championships representative will be present at the host hotel
(dedicated desk) starting March 3rd to assist with any Sports Technical inquiries,
or questions about available services.

      B. TEAM MEETING ROOM

Team meeting rooms will be available at the host hotel starting March 4th in one
hour increments via a sign-up sheet from 10am till 10pm. Please note that outside
food is not permitted in the meeting room.

Laundry services for game uniforms will be available onsite at both competition
venues. Teams will need to drop off their laundry a maximum of one hour after
their game. Clean uniforms will be available in the team rooms as they arrive for
their next event. Finalized information will be provided in the technical information
package on arrival. Any questions pertaining to laundry should be forwarded to
Robert Leroy robert.leroy@carleton.ca.

 10. MEDICAL SERVICES

The 2020 U SPORTS Basketball Championships hosted by TD Place, Carleton
University and University of Ottawa will provide Athletic Therapy and Medical
services for athletes of the championship. Both Carleton University, uOttawa and
TD Place possess clinics. Sport Medicine Physicians and Certified Athletic

Therapists will be on site for the duration of the tournament as well as a number
of student therapists. There will also be a satellite clinic and KineMedics
Recovery Room at the host hotel. More details about the usage of the clinics
and the recovery room and equipment in these areas will be included in the
Welcome Package. The Welcome Package will also contain all the EAPs for the
venues, important phone numbers, how to see a Sport Medicine Physician out of
competition, and guidelines for usage of the satellite clinic and recovery room.

                  A. ABOUT THE CITY - Ottawa is Canada’s capital, in the east of southern
                     Ontario, near the city of Montréal and the U.S. border. Sitting on the
                     Ottawa River, it has at its centre Parliament Hill, with grand Victorian
                     architecture and museums such as the National Gallery of Canada, with
                     noted collections of indigenous and other Canadian art. The park-lined
