MGSG : risk assessment V5
Revised following new strain of Covid 19 Jan 2021 and National lockdown/ school
closure term 3 2020/2021
This risk assessment must be read through completely and thoroughly. Please note that our risks and controls may change at any time based on changes to
Government advice and local circumstances (possible cases of COVID-19), etc.
This documents the risk control measures MGSG has have in place for Term 3 2021.
These are based on current (as at 21 January 2021) government guidance:
Guidance for Schools
Actions for Schools
Safe working in education settings
Guidance from HSE
Things considered to make the measures workable:
Numbers of staff and pupils, number and availability of cleaners, numbers in forms and year groups
Individual staff who may need separate risk assessments
Any individual pupils with specific needs including reasonable adjustments
Size and layout of school – specific issues include building work, maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum for all pupils, remote learning, staff working in school,
students in school
Resources both already available in school and able to order/make

them do this. Staff are being offered the asymptomatic

Once at home, parents will need to arrange testing and, if
this is positive, must follow the NHS guidance on self
isolation and track and trace. The school must be
informed of test outcomes so that government guidance
can be followed.
Only in exceptional circumstances will a member of staff Premises team
