Touring Program
Dear Valued Client Welcome to O’Shannessy’s Touring Program for 2020. Thank you for your support and patronage in 2019. Each year we seem to get busier and this year is no exception. We are revitalising the look and feel of our office to coincide with welcoming new members – Maggie and Liz to our team over the past twelve months. To complement our stylish touring coaches, our stationery has a crisp and modern feel, reflecting our growing touring community. Another fresh approach we have taken is the ability to correspond with you, no matter your location. You can receive letters, invoices and receipts on your iPad, smart phone or computer. Let us know if you would like these sent to you electronically. Of course, if you would prefer hard copies we are more than happy to post them to you. Our first ever eNewsletter went out this year to all clients with an email address. Should you like to receive furture eNewsletters please provide us with your email address and we will keep you up to date with our latest news and events. We have also joined social media! Our overseas tours include: The Cook Islands, Singapore, India – Golden Triangle, Christmas Markets Danube Cruise throughout Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. We also have a tour going to a very special event that is only held every 10 years “The Passion Play” in Oberammergau Germany, which will include touring through France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. Another initiative you will notice for 2020 is that we will have several small group tours which are noted throughout the Touring Program. These tours will have a maximum of 30 participants or less. As always our tours include: Chauffeured Home Pickup from and to your door – Greater Melbourne area, Ballarat, Geelong, the Surf Coast (Torquay), the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas, Bendigo and Castlemaine, Phillip Island and some areas of Gippsland including Warragul. Our tour prices are fully inclusive and are per person twin share and include GST, departing from Melbourne. The tour cost also includes most meals which comprise of two course Dinners with proper choices or buffet and full cooked and continental breakfasts each morning. Most morning teas and lunches are also included. We stay in Good Quality ensuite motel, resort and hotel accommodation. All attractions, tours and cruises as per detailed individual itineraries are included as well as Airfares, Trains and Ferries on tours where applicable. Our tours are carefully planned, comprehensive yet relaxed paced. Travelling by Luxury 5 star Coaches equipped with 2 doors, seat-belts and rest-room. LAVENDER HERB & CHILLI FESTIVAL - LAGGAN NSW 6 DAY TOUR

Tour Highlights:
A weekend festival celebrating the allure of lavenders, herbs and chillies,
held during the peak of the lavender harvest season at the beautiful
Crystal Brook Gardens and Lavender Farm at Laggan. Demonstrations of
lavender harvesting, and distilling, chilli tasting and cooking with a variety
of herbs are just some of the attractions of this tour. There are also some
great photo opportunities, as you walk through the stunning purple rows of
blooming lavender. The event features live music, plenty of food and there
will be plants and products for sale. In between enjoying the activities
on offer at the festival, Crystal Brook features numerous beautiful theme
gardens for you to explore. On Saturday there will be a display of vintage
cars. There's literally something for everyone!

Phillip Island, a popular seaside village, lies just off Australia’s southern
coast. At Summerland Beach, we will gather at sunset to watch the
Penguin Parade, when Little Penguins come ashore in groups. We will
also visit The Nobbies outcrop - the viewing site for Seal Rocks, home to
a large colony of Australian fur seals. The Phillip Island Circuit is a well-
known track for motorcycle and car racing which we will have a look at
and check out the Museum. There is so much to see and do on Phillip

In 1633, the residents of Oberammergau, Bavaria, Germany,
vowed that if God spared them from the bubonic plague
ravaging the region, they would produce a play thereafter for
all time every 10 years depicting the life and death of Jesus.
The death rate slowly subsided to one in the month of July
1633. The villagers believed they had been spared and thus
kept their part of the vow when the play was first performed
in 1634.
The play is now performed repeatedly over the course of five
months during every year ending in zero. So the next scheduled
performance will be in 2020. The production involves over
2,000 performers, musicians and stage technicians and all
residents of the village. The play comprises spoken dramatic
text, musical and choral accompaniment and tableaux
vivants, which are scenes from the Old Testament depicted
for the audience by motionless actors accompanied by verbal
description.
So it is a real pilgrimage to go and something very special,
not to be missed!
