Home of 2002, 2007 Canadian Open & the host golf
venue for the 2015 Pan Am Games:
A long-standing history of excellence
Arthur Stollery, a mining entrepreneur and son of the well-known Toronto clothier, bought the
rolling farmland at the corner of Kennedy Road and Major MacKenzie Drive in Markham in 1957 to
raise Black Aberdeen Angus cattle and champion thoroughbreds.
He named the property Angus Glen Farm, which later grew to 1800 acres, and became his home.
In 1967 he began breeding thoroughbred racehorses. For more than two decades, Angus Glen
bred horses which achieved racing success both in Canada and internationally, including twelve
stakes winners, most notably Talkin' Man, Kennedy Road and Laurie's Dancer.
After years touring the farmlands, Arthur Stollery, an avid golfer, began building a golf course in
1992, on some of the original horse paddocks, and in the valley where Black Angus cattle once
grazed. Parts of the original farm, which still operates, can be seen adjacent to many golf holes.
Arthur Stollery passed away in 1994, but the Stollery family completed his masterpiece, and the
course opened to the public in 1995. That year, Golf Digest magazine ranked Angus Glen as the
Best New Course in Canada.
In 1996 Gordon Stollery took his father's vision one step further by building a community around
Angus Glen Golf Club. During the community building, Angus Glen acquired Kylemore homes that
strive to build quality homes while "Exceeding Excellence". Continuing the tradition of excellence,
Angus Glen is known for its outstanding personal service. Angus Glen provides golfers with the
experience of a first-class private golf club within a public facility, accessible to all.
Gordon Stollery adds, "Angus Glen Community and the Golf Course symbolize what my father
always strove to achieve… excellence while remembering his roots."

You saw new practices and procedures implemented this season to ensure
a safe environment for you and your guests when playing at Angus Glen,
and we will continue to make improvements and make Angus Glen the most
incredible place to be. Thank you for choosing us.

for all things golf in 2021. At Angus Glen, we are committed to providing the
finest golf experience on our two championship courses.

NORTH COURSE
The North Course offers beauty, challenge, and variety to satisfy the skills of any golfer.
Known on an international level for hosting a PGA tour event (2007 Canadian Open), Angus Glen North
Course provides a memorable day of play for all.
The North Course's fairways at Angus Glen are lined with jagged, peaky, fescue-covered dunes and riddled
with three and four-foot sod wall bunkers. While the fescue dunes are grown freely to their natural height of
approximately two feet, the sod walls are kept tightly trimmed to reveal the menacing vertical faces complete
with the Scottish-style layering of the sod.
The Providence Bentgrass on the tees, greens and fairways of the North Course exhibits an upright growth
characteristic, providing a good lie for fairway shots, and a true roll on the putting surfaces. With a steady
topdressing and grooming program in place, the greens are kept relatively fast, and the subtle undulations
will test the skills of even the best putters.
A fully computerized irrigation system with individual sprinkler control offers an environment that is highly
beneficial to the turf and the golfer. And with its four sets of tee blocks on each hole, the course can be
played with varying degrees of difficulty. All in all, the course provides a wonderful playing balance of
challenge and fun.SOUTH COURSE Angus Glen Golf Club is the only club to have hosted a major PGA tour event on both of its courses. The North hosted the 2007 Canadian Open while the South Course hosted the 2002 Canadian Open. In 2015, the south course re-opens after completing a $6 million renovation by award-winning golf architectural firm MacKenzie & Ebert who’ve advised on an impressive list of world-renowned courses such as Turnberry, Royal St. Georges, Royal Lytham & St. Annes, The Abaco Club, Royal Troon, Royal Liverpool, Goodwood and Carnegie Abbey.

Reserving a Tee Time
All Members are encouraged to book prime tee times up to 30 days in advance
through our Exclusive Members App on your phone or through the reservation office
at 905-887-5157. To cancel a tee time, 48 hours notice must be given. Failure to
cancel will result in the applicable green fees being charged to the account. Twilight
tee times may be booked 14 days in advance. To cancel a twilight tee time, 24 hours
notice must be given. Failure to cancel any tee time will result in the applicable green
fees being charged to the account.
*Detailed twilight times will be communicated weekly to all flex members via email.
Missed Tee Time Policy
If a member misses their tee time, their account will be charged for the booked tee
time. A rain cheque will then be electronically credited to their member account for

I hereby acknowledge that I, being an Angus Glen member, will be responsible for any guests in which
I may invite to the course, making them fully aware of all Angus Glen Golf Club policies prior to play.
I authorize Angus Glen Golf Club to bill all charges including food & beverage, golf, merchandise and
events made on my account to the credit card provided on a monthly basis. Failure to provide up-to-
date credit card information will result in the loss of all signing privileges once the initial deposit has a
balance of zero.
For and in consideration of the use of the golf cart(s), I promise and agree to return the said golf cart(s)
and all equipment thereon immediately following the completion of nine/eighteen holes of play in
as good condition as I received same, normal wear being excepted. I promise and agree to pay for
any damages that are sustained to the said golf carts(s) and all equipment thereon. I promise and
further agree to hold Angus Glen Golf Club and its officers and employees free and harmless from any
damage of claims of any nature whatsoever that may arise from or through my use of said golf cart(s)
and all equipment thereon. I represent that I am familiar with the operation of the said golf cart(s) and
equipment thereon and that I have read the instructions and that I can operate and control the same in
accordance with the said instructions.
Golf carts are provided with a state of the art G.P.S. system to assist your enjoyment. There is a
maximum of 2 players and 2 sets of golf clubs per golf cart. Guests must be over the age of 18 to drive
a golf cart.

I understand that this is valid only for the 2021 golf season. All prepaid rounds of golf are valid for the
2021 season & all accumulated loyalty dollars will expire after December 31, 2021. Account balances for
Flex membership may only carry forward a maximum $250 balance towards the renewal of a 2021 Flex
membership. Funds are non-transferrable.
