About the MIT AAA
The MIT Arab Alumni Association, also known as the MIT AAA, is a non-profit educational
organization, on a mission to bring MIT’s rigor and opportunities to the Arab world, and to
bring the Arab world’s talent and energy to MIT.

Part of the MIT AAA’s activities is to host annual conferences and activities, that aim to bring
together interested parties from around the world that are concerned with each conference’s
theme, acting as a platform for world experts and business leaders to highlight impactful
efforts, exchange knowledge, uncover technologies, and propose the most innovative solutions
to face regional challenges.

Speakers and attendees of the MIT Pan-Arab Conferences always include MIT leaders and
faculty, heads of state and senior government officials, thematic experts, leaders of global
corporations, distinguished MIT alumni from around the world, and other interested
stakeholders. The MIT Pan-Arab Conferences offer a unique opportunity for sponsors to tap
into a unique group of industry experts in a focused and dynamic event.

The MIT AAA has successfully organized eight regional conferences, in Cairo, Amman,
Beirut, Dubai, Tunis, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Kuwait. In recognition for its efforts in organizing
the conferences, the MIT AAA was awarded the Presidential Citation by the MIT Alumni
Association. Details can be found in the “Information on past events” section of this
document”.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic and with the limitations on travel and wanting to still
bring our mission and vision to the Arab world, the MIT AAA increased its efforts in digital
events and networking opportunities, these efforts include: the launch of our “unliMITed”
podcast, bi-weekly newsletters.
More information about our events can be found online on: https://mitaaa.alumgroup.mit.edu/
