Transition Year
Transition Year (TY) is a one-year programme taken after Junior Cycle and before the two-year Leaving
                                          Certificate programme.
Assessment is carried out on an ongoing basis and can include school-based assessment of projects or
                          portfolios, oral, aural, practical and written activities.

Students experience a taster programme of our full range of Leaving Certificate subjects. The following
                                  optional modules are also offered:

Student Leadership - Student Voice
 Student Leadership and student voice is at the core of daily life in Loreto College, Mullingar.
Students are encouraged to fully immerse themselves in school life by involving themselves in
