Dear LRSD Families,
Welcome Back! Summer is quickly coming to an end and the 2022-23 school year will soon be in full
swing. My hope is that each of you has had time to rest, reflect, enjoy family, and time to simply enjoy
life!
I am excited and thrilled for what will be a very eventful school year. Since relocating to Little Rock
and officially beginning my tenure as superintendent on July 1st, I have been engaged in numerous
conversations with a variety of individuals and groups who all want LRSD to succeed and thrive. There
is an energy throughout this city that is prime and ripe for us to #reimagineLRSD.
If the impact of COVID-19 has taught us anything, it has taught us that we can make radical shifts in

Let us #reimagine the way we interact and treat each other in LRSD. At a time when it is easy to be
divisive, let us be the example where we value and elevate humanity over differences and demonstrate
kindness, respect, and compassion.
Let us also #reimagine the way we engage our families, students, and our community. LRSD belongs
to you and we will be calling on you to help us generate the best ideas to meet the challenges we face.
Little Rock cannot be a great city without a great public school system. We cannot afford to fail our
greatest assets – our children; our success will benefit the entire community.
We are stronger together and can accomplish much more when we work collaboratively. I firmly
believe we live in a time of great promise. The promise is our students, your child(ren). We pledge
to increase our efforts to build and maintain positive relationships that support academic and social
