BETH LYNETTE NICKEL (SCHAUFELE)

                                   Oct. 22, 1979 – Feb. 2, 2021

Beth passed away peacefully with her husband and mother at her side. She had
a short illness that ended a life most noted in the community for her exceptional
viola music skills. She performed in many orchestras and ensembles around the
lower mainland and Vancouver and contributed greatly to the musical culture
of Abbotsford. She was a noted music teacher, teaching privately but also
involved in the Bakerview Music Academy. She headed up the Abbotsford Music
Festival for many years and was a member of the BC Registered Music Teachers'
        Associations Abbotsford Branch.

In addition to her music involvements she was also active in the South Poplar
School PAC, serving as president at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband Joel Nickel whom she met while they studied at
UBC. They were married August 4, 2002. They have 3 children: Elijah, Katie, and
        Ethan.

Beth leaves her parents, Ron and Leila Schaufele of Bow Island, Alberta and her
parents-in-law, David and Ruth Nickel of Abbotsford to cherish her memory.

She also leaves behind many siblings: Ronelle (Nigel Boehm) Schaufele, Clark
(Katherine Dowling) Schaufele, Laurence (Monique Bishun) Schaufele, Alex
Schaufele, and Graham Schaufele, Graham (Sharon) Nickel, Clayton (Delayne)
Nickel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held on February 10th and and expanded tribute can be
        viewed at https://www.wiebeandjeskefh.com/obituary/beth-nickel/ . A memorial
concert and endowment fund have been created in Beth’s honour.
The concert can be viewed free on YouTube (search “Beth Nickel Memorial
