Today’s Sermon I 21 Mar 2021

                                                                      Bu l le t in

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, 40 days before Easter (excluding Sundays). This season focuses
on the life and ministry of Jesus, especially His last days in Jerusalem. Lent reminds us of Jesus'
40 days of testing in the desert. As followers of Christ we recall not only that Jesus withstood
the fiery darts of the devil, but we also are called to resist evil in whatever forms it may
take. Lent is generally a time for all Christians to strengthen their faith, with emphasis on
prayer, fasting, acts of penance and mercy. Purple, symbolizing penitence and preparation,
  colours this season.
