                  Archie Graham Community Centre
                          April - May 2019
The Archie Graham Community Centre (Archie) is a place for everybody to find a way to contribute and
                                 therefore belong to our community
Active Autumn in Warrnambool in 2019 has a focus on women with the message Start Getting Active
Again. Has it been months, or even years, since you last exercised? It doesn’t matter how long it has been
since you last got active, it’s never too late to get back into it! With a range of activities and sports availa-
ble for women of all fitness levels, there has never been a better time to overcome your fear of working
out, and start getting active again. Did you know… Women worry more about being judged when they
exercise. They’re twice as likely to worry about being unfit, not being able to keep up or being a beginner.

Warrnambool people are spoilt for choice for great places to walk and interesting groups to walk with.
Joining a group helps with starting a regular walking routine and form new friendships along the way.

Archie, Aquazone & Warrnambool Masters Swimming Club working together
Congratulations to the Warrnambool Masters Swimming Club Committee and
swimmers on holding the successful 100 x 100 event at Aquazone on Saturday 3
March.
The swimmers challenged themselves to swim either 20x100m, 50x100m, 75x
100m or 100x100m WOW! Some of the swimmers swam 10km!
Registration fees raised funds for our Archie Exercise Program and we are most
grateful to the club for choosing us! Funds will be used to purchase strength and
balance equipment for use in our classes. THANKS VERY MUCH!

New reStart Swimming Course starting soon!
$2 per session plus AquaZone entrance fee.

This emergency+ app is available for both apple & android devices. When pressed it gives the co-
ordinates of your location to the emergency services. It has been developed by Australia’s emergen-
cy services and their Government and Industry partners.
Load it on to your phone - particularly if you walk, ride, jog on Warrnambool’s many paths and
