The Airdrie Oilmen’s Association are a mix of people employed in the Oil & Gas, and Energy sector ranging from
professionals to field hands, all with the common goal of making a difference and bettering their local community
through charitable work and events. The Association has an outstanding record of community awareness as evidenced
by its attention and contribution to local charities within our city.

The Bikes & Bulls Charity Event was created by the Airdrie Oilmen’s Association to assist with our goal of giving back to
the Airdrie community by donating the proceeds from Special Fundraising Events. Every year the money we raise has
been donated to various charities, which include Airdrie Community Links, Airdrie Victims Assistance, and the Airdrie
Food Bank. In recent year’s we have also made donations to Kidsport, The Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society,
The CJAY92 Kids Fund, Tom Baker Cancer Center, STARS, and numerous other beneficiaries.

Airdrie Oilmen’s Association Bikes & Bulls Charity Event

Established in Airdrie in 2011, the Bikes & Bulls – Rumble on the Runway Charity Event has become the flagship event
for the Airdrie Oilmen’s Association having gained a reputation as a distinctive, high-quality event, noted especially for
its inclusiveness and friendliness. The Bikes & Bulls Charity Event is a major annual event in the Airdrie calendar,
eagerly anticipated each year by patrons who flock from all over Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, as
well as many visitors from the United States, and other international locations. As well as being recognized as one of
Airdrie’ s leading charity events, the Bikes & Bulls Charity Event has been acknowledged for its commitment to the
wellbeing of the community.

Bikes & Bulls Charity Event - Overview:

A richly diverse program combining rodeo and motor sports themed activities with live entertainment featuring
Professional Bull Riding and Bucking Broncos in conjunction with Bull Riders Canada Inc. and representing one of the
stops on the BRC 2020 Pro Rodeo Circuit. Two full days of Motor sports themed events, including Drag Racing on the
Airdrie Airpark Runway, Show & Shine, Motorcycle games, Burnout Competitions, Motorcycle & Car show and vendors.
A celebration of Indigenous culture with Metis musical and dance performances, as well as a myriad of additional
performances – with music in rock and country genres; free camping and beer gardens. A Perfect weekend event for
family and friends that has drawn between 5000-8000 people over the weekend.

The Bikes & Bulls – Rumble on the Runway Charity Event offers a wide range of sponsorship opportunities for
businesses, organizations or individuals seeking to promote their profile, products and services to a discerning,
diverse audience.

Sponsors will benefit by partnering in a unique, very well attended, proven, highly visible event that appeals to a
diverse demographic and culture. By partnering with the Airdrie Oilmen’s Association you will be able to promote

The Airdrie Oilmen’s Association made a BOLD step with the event for 2018 by moving locations from the Airdrie
Pro Rodeo Grounds to the Airdrie Airpark, east of the city on Yankee Valley Blvd. The space that the venue offers
is unparalleled, with runway access for drag racing and demos from various shops.

In 2018 we opened up the Show & Shine to invite Car enthusiasts to join in on the fun for a combined experience!

In conjunction with Calgary Harley Davidson’s Rally in the Rockies, the Airdrie Oilmen are happy to showcase a
dedicated day of Motorcycle Drag Racing on Sunday, August 15th!!

This portion of Bikes & Bulls – Rumble on the Runway will feature Motorcycle drag racing open to all classes of
Bikes, with Calgary Harley Davidson’s showcasing their own Drag bikes built by the CHD Service Crew and other
Harley Davidson dealers!

Local Motorcycle charity groups will be hosting rides throughout the week with the Calgary Harley Owners Group
(HOG Riders) finishing their ride at Bikes & Bulls on the 14th to join in on the music, food, show and shines, burn-out
competitions and of course the Bull Riding portion of the event!
