A BIG MOVE...
Latics legend and former Norway international Gunnar Halle recalls his
memories of his time at Boundary Park.
“I appreciate all of the time I had at Oldham Athletic and of my career and it set me up before moving to Leeds,
I had a fantastic time here. I felt really welcome when I Wolves and Bradford before going back to Norway. I feel
came, and it was a family club with the likes of Big very happy with the way I picked my decision to go to
Gordon. Alan Hardy and there were so many that made Oldham, obviously Latics weren’t the biggest club and I
me feel welcome. The supporters were great also did have other clubs coming in for me so maybe I
because I was one of the first players in Norway to go could’ve left earlier. But I felt really happy there
abroad and for me it was a big move to move to a especially with the support from the managers, the club,
different country and culture, but I’ve never regretted it and the supporters so that made me really welcome and
and I had a fantastic time. my family and I think that they’ll look back at Oldham as
“I think that the first few years at Oldham was a big part a very good time as well as myself.”
