Presenter: Aaron Alder, Howard Community College
Abstract: In the last five years Howard Community College has
experienced unprecedented growth of dually enrolled students. In
collaboration with the Howard County Public School system, HCC has
implemented a variety of options for students to earn college credit while
still in high school. In 2017, all of these options were consolidated and
rebranded into a new program, JumpStart. This session will offer an
overview of the JumpStart program, how it was developed, the challeng-
es facing the program, and how it fits into the overall landscape of Dual
Enrollment. This session could be useful to anyone looking to learn more
about dual enrollment, including admissions professionals both at 2 and 4
