Registration
A registration fee of $25.00 per family
(non-refundable) is due prior to attending
childcare. A portion of the registration fee
provides accident insurance for your child.
This insurance covers only after-school.
You will be required to complete an emer-
gency release form during registration.
Any medical problems or allergies should be mentioned at
the time of registration. Special custody situations and
medication needs should be noted so appropriate action
can be taken to safeguard your child. Written documen-
tation is required in special custody situations. Failure to
advise us of special problems may result in complications
later, so please take time to give us all needed infor-
mation during registration.

If there are any other questions concerning qualifying for
the free or reduced lunch program, your child will be reg-
istered in the regular category until your family qualifies.
Please get with Gary Castro in the cafeteria for more in-
formation.

Documentation of fees is according to a daily rate, re-
viewed and revised regularly. Tuition fees are due the
last week in each month. An additional fee will be
charged and collected for checks returned for insufficient
funds, you will be asked to pay by cash or money order.
Falling more than one week behind in tuition can result
in removal of your child from the program. If you would
like a refund from the previous year (that you did
not use) you have 30 days from the start of school to
request said money. Otherwise, it goes back as a
donation to the childcare fund.

DISMISSAL FROM THE PROGRAM

It is our desire to meet the needs of as many eligible chil-
dren as possible. However, some rules and regulations
must be followed. Therefore, dismissal of your child may
occur if you have been warned 3 times:

1. You are repeatedly tardy (after 6:00pm) for pick up.

2. You fail to pay, or you are continuously delinquent in
   paying fees.

3. Your child exhibits consistent disruptive behavior in
the program which distracts others from completing
   homework.

4. Continuously displaying discipline problems, despite
   discussions with parent(s) for resolution.

BEFORE SCHOOL CHILD CARE
• Student drop off will be in the back of the school out-
side of the cafeteria. Adults will not leave the car because
Miss Christa or another staff member will be at the base
of the stairs to check your child in and make sure they get
into the building safely.
• The child will drop off their belongings in the desig-
nated area and then choose a play center inside. (Center
options will change each day, but your child will always
be able to choose reading, homework, and coloring/
drawing. In case we are shorthanded a movie may be
shown in lieu of centers.)
• Breakfast starts at 8:30am so please make sure your
child knows if they need to eat breakfast at school.
• If the playground is available, the students in grades
3-5 will be dismissed at 8:45am to go play before school.
Students in grades K-2 will have the option to sit and
talk quietly, read, or color.

AFTER-SCHOOL CHILD CARE
Your child should report to the school cafeteria immedi-
ately upon school dismissal. We maintain a constant and
close check on persons who pick your child up from the
program. Therefore, please notify us at school if someone
other than the people listed on your school registration
form are allowed to pick-up. The name of that individual
should be added to your child’s pick-up list as soon as pos-
sible. The staff will contact you if a person tries to pick-
up your child and is not listed on the registration form.

Pickup will be in the cafeteria at the back of the school,
just like drop off. The parent/guardian/approved adult
picking up must come up to the posted door and Miss
Christa or another staff member will be there to meet you
and sign out your child as you will not be permitted to
enter the cafeteria. Your child will then be paged to get
their belongings and meet you at the door. All children
must be picked up by an adult (18 years or older). Until
identity is known, photo identification will be required. A
late fee will be charged if your child is not picked up by
6:00 p.m. ($1 per minute until picked up).
Page 12

HOMEWORK

Time to complete homework is from 4:10-4:40pm. 1st-5th
will have homework or reading time while Kindergarten
goes out to the playground. It is very difficult to deter-
mine when some children have homework, therefore you
may wish to discuss the procedure your child will follow
concerning homework with him/her.

ACCIDENTS / ACCIDENT INSURANCE

Part of your child’s registration fee is applied to accident
insurance coverage. If an emergency occurs during the
program, appropriate action will be taken to insure the
safety and health of the children.

If a child is hurt during the program, the staff will assess
the extent of the injury. Every attempt will be made to
contact you and/or your designee.

If you and other emergency contacts cannot be reached or
the injury is assessed as serious, a call to 911 will be
placed.

Accident insurance claims will be available from the man-
ager. You are responsible for submitting claims to the
appropriate address. Our insurance is not primary cover-
age.

If your child comes to the pro-
gram ill or becomes ill, you will
be called to arrange a pick-up
for your child.
