OY KLIPPAN AB
We have over 50 years of experience in producing safety belts
(1959) and child safety seats (1967). Our company is located in
Vantaa, Finland. We have Finland's only crash rig and it gives us
the opportunity to test and develop our products.
Production capacity in Vantaa is around 50 000 seats per year.
In the future we will focus our resources on KLIPPAN safety
products for use in cars, working environments, homes and
spare time activities. We will also focus on products for car
dealers and customers with needs for special products, product
development and testing.
Oy Klippan Ab has been granted the following quality
certificates: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015.

The KISS (Klippan Isofix Safety
System) suits the child from birth up
to three years, or 18 kg. Fitting is
easy. Just click and fit using Isofix.
Alternatively, 3 Point adult safety
belts can be used with full safety.
When the baby protector is lifted
out of its base and placed on the
ground, it can be used as a soothing
rocker. Built in push-handle and
wheels allows you to transport your
child for short distances in the seat.

KLIPPAN BASE R44-04

The Klippan base, is easily
installed to the car with either
Isofix or the 3P belt of the car.
The same base can be used
both for the Dinofix and
Triofix seats.
The base has an integrated
safety-system of red and
green indicators, showing if
the installation is done
properly. This system
minimizes the risk of wrong
installation of the seat.
Assembly can be done
without separate straps due
to the rebound-bar and load
leg on the base. Use the
separate spacer, to achieve
more leg space, for children
travelling RWF.

DINOFIX 0-13kg R44-04 GRP 0+

The Dinofix infant carrier is meant
to be used with a separate base, to
receive a complete safety system, or
with the cars 3P belt only. The base
can be assembled to the car by
either Isofix or by the cars 3P belt.
Dinofix is approved for children in
weight 0-13 kg, and is a seat in
group 0+. Dinofix can also be used
as a travel system on Klippan
stroller.
When the child grows out of this
seat, you can use the same base
140-04-021 with the Triofix seat in group 1-2-3.
This also makes the complete
system cost-effective.

TRIOFIX RECLINE 9-36kg R44-04 GRP 1-2-3

Triofix is a multifunctional childseat
that can be installed both rear- and
forwardfaced, using a separate base.
The base can be assembled to the car
by either Isofix or by the 3P belt in the
car. The child seat can be used in
weight class 9-36 kg, in group 1-2-3.
The seat is equipped with an easily
removable seat padding, that can be
washed.
We have during the development
process focused on the safety of the
seat and the comfortable use. The
integrated headrest and adjustment of
the belt height, makes the seat
especially practical. The adjustment of
the belt height is designed so you do
not have to disconnect the belts from
the seat; you just need to choose the
right height. A compact car seat, that

Triofix Maxi, the third facelift on the
legendary Triofix seat.
This is a multifunctional childseat
that can be installed both rear- and
forwardfaced, using a separate base.
The base can be assembled to the car
by either Isofix or by the 3P belt in the
car. The child seat can be used in
weight class 9-36 kg, in group 1-2-3.
The integrated headrest and
adjustment of the belt height, makes
the seat especially practical.

headrest design, we have been able

to fit even longer children into the
seat. At same time, we have
improved the safety on the seat
during side-impacts by adding shock
absorbing material.
For increase of comfort there is used
memory foam beneath the cover.
Together with separate paddings on
the inside of the cover, we have a
really comfortable seat for the
growing child.

In 1967 the first RWF seat was
launched. During these 50 years of
time, we have recognized several
safety-features that are important
for children in car.
The Klippan Century combines
history, safety and future in same
package.
The seat is an only RWF seat, for
children up to 25 kg.
The seat is mounted into the car by
the 3P belt and lower tether

adjustable load leg and front bar.
With the front bar you can easily
adjust the reclining of the seat.
The seat cover is easily removable
for washing, and paddings can be
added for increased comfort.

The Wego seat, is a booster seat
with an integrated Isofix base. The
child is fastened in the seat with
the cars 3P belt.
Wego is equipped with an
adjustable headcover and side-
covers, included with integrated
side protection. Two recline
positions, ensures a comfortable
journey for the child.
The belt routing is designed to
protect the sensitive parts of the

The first child seat from Oy Klippan Ab
was praised both for its safety and
comfort. The new seat was also said to
be the base for the new norm. In order
to protect the child in the best way, this
seat was designed to be rearward-faced.
This way of travelling is still considered
to be the safest for children less than 3
years.

16REARWARD FACING IS SAFEST
Most accidents occur from the front. The car crashes and stops abruptly.
When the child is travelling in a rear-facing seat, the head will be supported
by the seat, saving the child's weak neck from the crash forces. If travelling
in forwards-facing seats, however, the child’s neck, head and spine will be
exposed to enormous strain. This is often as dangerous, or even more
dangerous, for the child as the accident itself.
The Nordic countries are the best countries in Europe when it comes to
seeing children travelling in rear-facing seats until the age of 3. This is why
fewer children are injured or killed in traffic.
Oy Klippan Ab has got over 50 years of experience in child safety in cars.
Critical points of views, for safe child seats, are development and testing.
Today we have seats for newly born babies and children up to 10 years of
age.

The following tests are feasible to run on the crash rig:
- Dynamic tests with car body
- Seat belt test according to ECE R16.06
- Child restraint test according to ECE R44.04
- Side impact test with child restraints
- Dynamic test with car seats, ambulance-equipment, stretchers and
firstaid bags
- Special tests with a speed from 15 to 60 km/h

De Plus is a new brand Oy Klippan Ab has registered. The sales
under the De Plus brand will start with seatbelts and a small range
of Child seats.
The De Plus means “more”. The logo shows a steeringwheel with
protection or guardiance.
